Yeah their flaps have the serial numbers on the sticker without the slash through the zero! Different supplier?

Okay, I wanted a double confirmation regarding the YKK zippers. Since the Chanel stores are now open out here in California, I called the Rodeo Drive store. They also confirmed that Chanel does not use YKK zippers. Two major boutiques have now confirmed this - there should be no problem with a credit card dispute now.

Hmm... this brings me to a question about consistency of Chanel items...
My pink cambon tote has a black leather strap for the keys and I bought it myself from the Chanel boutique and I even asked the manager why is my strap not pink~ Apparently it depends on the person who assembles the bag to put black or pink. The first batch had pink straps, then 2nd had black... But that does not mean the bag is a knock off... Sooooooo I don't know! |

Slight variations in the overall design of the bag would not be incorrect. Even the hardware can vary slightly from bag to bag. You will not find a bag with hardware from a company like YKK from whom Chanel does not buy hardware from though.
Many people also get worried when they see Flox hardware on some Chanel bags - that is valid hardware that has been used by Chanel. |

I am so sorry also... The bag looks so authentic it's scary. Take Ranag's advise in getting it resolved. I am sure, after she writes out the discrepancies, it will be enough info to get your money back quickly.

I have a backpack that is older. I don't know which year, but the zippers don't have anything on them except a gold little double c thing.
I really wonder if that bag is a fake. The quality looks too good to me. laurel |

she will be faxing me a copy of the receipt, where it matches the tag of the original box as well as the tag of the bag. will this prove anything?
in the meanwhile, i've contacted my credit card company and they're giving me the runaround so i will try and call them again today. |

I definitely don't think the seller ever worked at Chanel. I checked her eBay purchases and she bought and re-sold a pair of Chanel flats. The reason she was selling the flats was because she bought them on eBay and they were too small. Anyone who has purchased a pair of Chanel flats will know they run small. If she worked at the Boutique, she would certainly have known that.
Also this seller sold a "Hermes 28cm, kelly bag from the year 2005" saying "I received this beautiful bag as a gift from my friend during the valentine's." Her asking price was $100.00 and she sold it for $464.00. Asking $100.00 for a Hermes Kelly?? Something is fishy with this seller. |

Email the seller and tell her that you are not satisfied that it is authentic and that you have begun to do a chargeback with your credit card and will return the bag to her when your CC advises you to. Tell her it would be in her best interest to refund you and you can send the bag back (do not send the bag back until you receive a refund). This way she'll have her bag back sooner than later. |

just contacted a super lovely guy from chanel in sydney, but unfortunatley the manager is not in so i will have to call back on tuesday (public holiday on monday). he said he will do his best to help me, as he is unsure if they can send the bag back to paris but the manager will definitely know.
he also suggested calling up beforehand before bringing the bag in, so a bit of a wait for me! i think ill print these pages out for them to have a look at! |
