Please help me decide! About to get my first Chanel - a medium flap

I am about to get the medium classic flap black caviar. But I just cant decide on silver or gold hardware! I am Asian, and I generally dont wear any jewelry. I wear mostly black, white and bold colors like red, orange, royal blue, and green. Dont wear much earthy tones, neutrals or pastels. I have tried on both and just cant decide, any help or opinions would be much appreciated. Thank you!

If you are young (teens/twenties), I'd say take a look at the jewelry the older women in your life wear. If your mom and grandmas generally wear gold jewelry, then I'd say get the gold hardware. The reason being, chances are you'll get a taste for jewelry as you get older, and your taste will most likely take after your family's taste. Also, chances are you'll eventually inherit some of those jewelry pieces. By getting the hardware that you'll mostly wear in the future, your bag will most likely match. Also, most asian women I know tend to lean towards gold jewelry, so my best guess for you will be the gold hardware.

I just bought this one! I prefer silver, even though when I wear jewelry it is mostly gold. I find the silver much more fashionable, IMO.

the black and gold combo is so classic chanel and very dressy. and yes, gold pops against the black, imo!

I prefer silver hardware - I think the gold makes the bag look dated.

That's also my problem! I'm planning to get either a medium flap or east west in black caviar, and I can't decide between gold or silver hw. The gold makes it more classy and timeless, but the silver is more modern! I'm leaning more towards silver. Good luck deciding!

but if you want something that will really stand out...go for the gold HW

I have the jumbo cavier with silver...it's a beauty! From what you described as your main colors... I think you will find that silver goes well with your wardrobe and is easy to work with.
