Pictures of new Chanel Bags for Fall 2006!!!!

I just got a call from my SA, the boutique just got one pleated pouch in black in and since I am the 1st on the list I got that bag. I am going to pick it up tomorrow. I have mixed feeling though...I know it will be beautiful but 1) the dark grey is not in yet and the SA don't know when it will come, so there's no way I can compare now whether i like black or grey more, though she told me the leather is like the reissue leather, and i already have a grey reissue so maybe this time i should get the black? also...i am dead broke.....i am basically getting this bag without knowing if I can pay my credit card bill in full.....my god...what to do??

I'm so sorry to hear about that. I know what it feels like to love a bag so much. But you've got to be sure you can afford it too. Not knowing if you can pay for it in full may be a strong indication that you shouldn't get it. I dunno, but getting in debt, even for the most gorgeous bag in the world, just doesn't sound very wise. That's just IMO but I hope it helps. Good luck!

I actually think I should be able to make it, I should still have enough time to save up till next month. BUt yup I do agree I am not going to mess up my credit for it since I have never ever been in debt

ok, I am back from chanel with the black pleated pouch, but i am not as excited as i thought i would be....the pic on chanel.com shows that the leather is calfskin with stamping to make it looks like allegator (especially the shoulder strap)....but it is really the same vintage calfskin that was done this summer....though the leather is soft, but i am quite disappointed that the leather of my bag doesn't look like the one shown on chanel.com. I love that supposed to be allegator look on the one on chanel.com, which is the pic on post #136.

also since i am not as in love with it as i thought i would be and i thought it is just too much for a bag I am not extremely in love with (ok, it is definitely a beautiful bag but it think as close to $3000 including tax it should be MORE beautiful....).

I am not sure if I should return it and forget about it......But lately I kept returning things at Chanel since I can never make up my mind in the store and always have 2nd thought after purchasing.....I feel bad to once again return.... :( what to do??

I know that feeling too. But if you're paying $3K bag, you should totally loving it. If not, just return it.

BTW In comparing with the tweed version, which one do you like it better?

The tweed and the leather are both nice, and the leather is definitely more versatile, so between the two I would still pick leather, but I am just so disappointed that the leather just doesn't look like the one shown on their website, i just wish they have the same "allegator" look
