Hi gals,

Please take a look at this horrible site from China!!! This person is stealing our tPFers photos to sell bags!! My modelling photos are there!! And do you see clk55girl's photo there too? Gosh!! Do we need to do anything? I don't know how to watermark my photos in order to stop these horrible people from stealing our copyrights!! Help help!!

P.S. Mods, am I allowed to post this here? Please let me know if it's not allowed, coz I just want fellow tPFers here to know that their photos are being stolen.....hope you can put this up to let people know the importance of watermarking. I'm a victim.

Exactly!!! I'm half-Chinese but I can't read the simplified Chinese words in this website!!! Gosh....I'm so frustrated right now seeing my modelling pics in this website!!! And the person even watermarked MY PICTURE as if it's hers!!

And not only my pictures...even pictures taken by other tPFers or pictures sent by SA's are posted in this website!! All pictures look very familiar and seems like all the pictures are from tPF!! I think this is a terrible act!!!

Gosh I need to get a lawyer or sth!!

Apparently the site is claiming some kind of personal shopping service in the US. A person can send request to purchase the style of Chanel bag she wants, and a personal shopper associated with the site will purchase the bag for her and deliver it back to China.

It guarantees authenticity because it claims all the bags are purchased directly in stores in the US. I thought that it better be:

And who knows if the site is selling real or fakes?! And, I wonder of any of the site's SA or owners had joined tPF...for the sole purpose of stealing photos and getting sales bags. Sigh, the peril of global economy.....

Ughh, this makes me sick. Why do they keep stealing my modeling photos?!?!? This isn't the first time I've been alerted to my stolen photos being used on another website. Another pfer informed me that my bag photos AND modeling photos were stolen and being used on a Korean website. The stolen bag photos don't bother me as much as my stolen modeling photos. I don't know if the bags on these websites are authentic, but I'm no longer going to contribute to their cause. I'm not posting any more modeling pics. They are obviously being stolen by a member of tPF, because I haven't posted my photos anywhere else.

Mia: I know exactly how you feel. When I first saw my other stolen modeling photos, I just felt violated. **HUGS** I watermarked my photo, but they just cropped it out.

OMG Jenn!! We're both victims!! They can even crop out the watermarks!! That's unbelievable!! You know, those are MY FIRST MODELING pictures here and also will be my last!! Like you, I'm so offended seeing myself in these websites and I don't even know if they are selling authentic stuff!! (Hugs to you too...)

BTW, off topic, I'm still lusting over your jumbo patent goatskin bordeaux....I can't find it anywhere!! You're so lucky!! Enjoy your bag!!

Mia, I know. I just don't like seeing my modeling pics floating around on random websites especially if they are being used to sell fake goods. I hope you cropped out your head in your modeling pic.. If i do I continue to post modeling pics I'll be sure to insert the words, "Five star replica Chanel" directly over the bag so they can't crop it out.

Aww, thank you. I know that there are a few dept stores that still have the bag in stock. I'll call around and let you know if I find one.

This is terrible. I don't know if there's anything that can be done now, but I would definitely consider putting a clear watermark over all photos posted from this point on, either by the individual posting or TPF. :(

Unfortunately, nothing can be done because we are in fact posting our photos on a public website. It just sucks because it's a tPF member that's stealing the photos. I watermark all my photos, but they either don't care and post them anyway or crop out the original watermark. The other website had stolen, watermarked photos of Personalshoppers (eBay seller) and they blatantly posted them with her watermarks.

yeah, from now on I will too. Have you tried emailing this website letting them know you are the owner of this picture and that they do not have authorization to use and to remove. I would start there.

clk55girl~ I'm soo sorry this happened to you! Part of the reason they don't bother to clean up watermarks is b/c buyers in China don't really understand English well enough to distinguish it's stolen or not, let alone know what tPF is and our IDs........ Perhaps we need to water mark 'THIS IS FAKE' on all the pix
