Default Newbie going to Paris who needs help!

Hi all,

I am new to tPF and in need of your help! I love Chanel, like most sane girls, and I am going to be going to Paris in less than a week! I know that I need to buy something (or somethings) Chanel while I'm there, but I don't really know what.

I think a piece of costume jewelry is a must, as well as a scarf--I already have a couple of chanel scarves.

However, what I really need help with is bags! I love the classic flaps, and the jumbo flaps, but I really think that right now they'd be out of my price range, as well as unreasonable for me to carry (I'm a grad student and don't live in a very glam city).

I considered the mini flap...are there any other bags I should consider? Also, do you know if there are any sales in July, either in boutiques or dept stores? Are there any good vintage stores i should hit?

Thank you!
