navy reissue 226 (Fall 08) would you choose black or silver chain?

i like the silver chain...but strangely enough, i thougth black would be my choice before i saw the pics. silver just stands out more !

Prefer black chain -- think it looks younger, more modern and boutique buy vs. Saks buy. I apologize in advance if this question is misplaced in this thread, but is there any issue of the black chain as being less durable -- black chipping off or discoloring -- than the regular ones (I spent some time on the quality control chanel thread and am now wondering about the newer bags).

Silver if you plan on keeping the bag for a long time. The black will rub off after some years, but you can get it redone at Chanel when the time comes. They are both nice.

The silver hardware gives a nice contrast but the darker navy with black hardware in this latest season has a sexy edge to it
