I don't mean to be vicious, but I'm kind of wondering why out of nowhere it seems EVERYONE wants this bag?

I really loved it and was intrigued when I first saw it in the BG look-book...it didn't seem to be getting that much attention until recently when it's started to come out in the boutiques...

I guess I'm just being sour because I actually like the bag and seem to have NO chance of getting one because everyones pouncing because of the price. I really love the unique and funkier bags with alternative materials (vinyl, fabrics etc) because I'm very young...and these are usually edgier and more fun

I think it's stupid to buy it because it's cheap for a Chanel. OR to just get the bag because you can.

I'm sorry it's just annoying me.

I feel like I have no chance to get one because people are being greedy and snatching one simply because of the price tag and then saying they'd rather have leather ....it's like then GET LEATHER!!! Spend a few hundred more and let someone have this bag who genuinely likes it!

It's just one of the few fall/prefall bags I actually LIKE and am sad they'll be completely sold out because people bought it JUST because it was a cheap deal

I know there are other people who like the bag as well, I'm not saying that.
I've already witnessed this twice though...(them getting the bag...then complaining that leather is better)

oh well - I guess its up to people on what they want to get? and yes the price point IS a deciding factor in many cases although I didnt find the Le Marais to be my cup of tea

I guess price is a factor...but then again it's CHANEL...if people want a cheap bag it's kind of the wrong place to look .lol.. price isn't an issue for me right now thankfully.

I'm not dictating what people can buy or not...I'm just saying...I hope the bag doesn't become the bag to get JUST because it's cheap...like I'm saying people should actually like the bag......I would hope so.

Just because it's cheap doesn't mean you should get it. I mean...that's silly IMO. At least actually want the bag.

If you wanted this bag so much, why aren't you on a wait list for it? If I can afford to buy 10 bags, why wouldn't I do so?! Do you really think that people stop and think to themselves: "Wow, I shouldn't buy more than just one bag, because somewhere, someone else might want it, and I would be GREEDY for taking it for myself!"

Most people buying Chanel handbags are not investing in the vinyl or fabric bags. If you want the bag, go buy it. If you can't afford it don't be mad at others who can. No one is being greedy, maybe you are just having "sour grapes" because you can't get it and others can?

I totally get what you mean. I think it's a nice bag, but I don't care for the colors it comes in...black and purple, so I'm not going to get it just because it's cheap. Now if it came in a color I actually like...say beige or white, then that's a different story...

I can actually afford it. I get Chanel clothes and/or bags every month or two...but that has nothing at all to do with this. I'm waiting for a specific store to get it in because I'm paranoid about having bags shipped to me. I only pick up bags from a local store. There's only one near me......I'm not even sure they're getting it in.

I just don't understand why they buy it just because it's "cheap" for Chanel...I just believe you should LIKE the bag at least...obviously it being decently priced is a bonus for most.

For example, I despise the PST because it doesn't stay on my shoulder, and I don't think it's cute at all. But its only what $1350-1550? Oh my should I buy it because its cheap? Um NO.

I overheard a lady with one saying "I only bought this because it was so cheap for Chanel, but I don't like the fabric, just that its Chanel"

I guess I just don't understand THAT mentality? I mean obviously she has some of her own reasons...but...I suppose I don't understand why she bought it and didn't buy a leather flap?

Anyhow, like said, get yourself on a waitlist if you're that desperate to get the bag. All you have to do is call well before it's actually released and you should definitely be able to get one.

I know my local boutique offers the option of doing charge sends when something is sold out, and having the bag shipped to the boutique instead of my home. I had my black patent jumbo flown in from the Chanel Las Vegas boutique and had it sent to my local boutique (because I like getting the Chanel shopping bag, etc). Perhaps you could ask Saks if they can do the same for you if it does happen to be sold out, since you said you don't like the idea of having a bag shipped to you.

I really don't see it being hard to get a le marais flap, especially if you act fast and get yourself on the waitlist.

I honestly don't care WHY people buy the bags that they buy. I don't care whether they buy bags because they're cheap, or because they like the material, or because they like the color. To each his/her own.

i think you're being unreasonable in thinking that a chanel bag that is lower in cost won't be snapped up quickly. especially because it is similar in appearance to the classic flap look. some people are out there dying to buy just one chanel bag but they aren't blessed like you and can't afford to buy chanel every month. just because you can pick and choose which chanel to buy doesn't mean others have that luxury. you shouldn't complain just because you can't get this one specific bag and other people are buying it quickly because the price will be a huge draw to many people who are genuinely excited to see a chanel come a bit cheaper than usual. and you have to be realistic, of course people are going to purchase things just to have the name or logo or brand showing, that's life! you need to get a better grip on things, girl, and complain about things that really matter.

Yeah....this is what I'm talking about. There are bags that have been priced low that weren't for me at all...be it color, size, strap...so I don't buy them...even if they are a good deal...If I want something more...I'd get that instead...If I didn't have the money...well I'd save up a few more months. It just seems like you'd be happier in the long run.

I mean...yeah it's nice to see a Chanel flap decently priced I suppose...but if they're really after the classic couldn't they just wait awhile more? Especially if it's their first Chanel. I wonder how the fabric holds up. It'd be kinda sucky if it doesn't hold up that great you know? ...Or people being disappointed with the bag since it's just fabric and complain...but I suppose thats there business...

I just think it's pointless to buy a Chanel if it's not the Chanel you really want...that's kind of what I was interested in talking about. I mean $1300 is still a chunk of money to throw away if it's not the one you really want. That's just my opinion. I understand people simply like the bag which is nice. I like it too. I would like it if it were $2,000...a lot of others probably wouldn't...say it's not worth it cause its fabric...but I've been known to buy fabric chanels for lots of money and then to find out they go on sale later and get laughed at by my friends haha lol. oh well. doesn't matter.

well look, I like the le marais flap, the shape the look but also $$$ y because its just is like that, if people want to get it cuz its cheap let them get it, its not gonna be sold out or say leave one for kara_n cuz she has the cash to get it and the other people doesnt, i mean dont take me wrong but some people just doesnt want to spend alot of money on bags or simply dont have the cash or simply this is the only choice.

I kind of get what your saying. I was actually the first person who brought up the Le Marais flap on this forum tryng to figure out what everyone thought of it between the medium caviar flap. Honestly ever since i saw it on the BG lookbook i thought wow that flap looks so cool! n then i looked down and saw the price and thought crap its only 1295 even better! I love the look of this bag and the price was a plus. I guess to each its own, i would love to get the black even especially the purple, hopefully the purple doesnt get sold out. I do understand your point of view, and i dont think shes meaning it to be greedy or mean ladies. Anyway hope you get the bag! I ended up getting another bag right now, but hope there will be some left later for me to get :)

Umm, do you really think it's impossible that people are snatching up the Le Marais for the same reason you want to buy it? Because it's edgy and attractive? Why do you assume that the people buying Le Marais flaps are too broke to spring for leather? Do you realize how entitled you sound? God forbid a bag you want sells out... must be because all the people buying it are just cheap losers.

you cant call the 800 number and have them track the bag down for you? I think they look in their inventory of all the boutiques accross America to see which has one. Then that boutique contacts you and completes the sale.
