I just wanted to update this thread.
I ordered the Vectra for handbags / shoes. I paced, took a deep breath, and sprayed down my Chanel lambskin boots.

Worked like a charm, I'm happy to report. No spotting whatsoever and dried almost instantly. I'm off to spray down my bags.
