That in 2006, Jumbo Flaps were closer to $1700 than the $2650 they are sold for now?!?!?!

That makes them sound like a steal! I would like to know what has gone on at Chanel and their production that can justify an increase of 56% increase in price. We all know the cost of living has not increased that much...I would love to know if it is all profit--sure does sound like it, no?

I can't remember but I do remember for sure that they had NOT had a price increase up until '06 for at least 2+ years. They had a big correction . . . and then some!

Jumbo was $1650. M/L was $1600. That's how much when I purchased my M/L at Jan 2007 right before the price increase.

Reference thread shows $1695 for jumbo

M/L was $1595

Jumbo in 2000 was $1250 and in 2005 $1650

Makes me mad at myself for not liking Chanel sooner.

madamelizaking, I too am mad/sad I didn't get into Chanel sooner..haha..was in my LV/Dior phase in high school

Me too. I was so in LV at that time. Now I sold most of my LVs. I definitely think Chanel classics hold value more than LVs.

Just heard that the Chanel boutique in Singapore is increasing their prices today?!?!?! Not sure by how much... but a freaking jumbo already costs about USD3,200 here!!!!
