uh, would the flap in this size be very heavy?

Maxi.....of course, how many ladies would think of it as otherwise.....? Ha! Someone mentioned 'wings'....? Ugh. Kind of funny when I was reading through all the previous posts here about the name. Ok, on to something else....I am thinking I am going to be tracking down that bag! I hope the size is what I am looking for,. Yes, big bags are in right now....but, I am guessing it is going to be "just the right size" for many years to come----it is, afterall, a flap even if it is called a 'maxi'----doesn't that mean it can't get any bigger? Ha!~ And, everything seems to come back around at some point? Then we call it 'vintage'?

Why do they pick such awful names? Lol the first time I heard someone say Chanel JUMBO I thought it was just a funny joke on the board, until I realized it was the REAL name LOL. maxi?

Ugh...I'm sure it will be a beautiful bag, but I don't want to be thinking about maxi pads when I see pictures/hear about it LOL!!! They should do a point promotion with Always...free pads when you buy your Maxi bag! ugh.

^^^ I believe that The Maxi will come out in red. Of course, knowing Chanel, who knows if it will be a true lipstick red.

i agree with Cyndee ^ !! and i kinda think there will always be a place for big bags. Not oversized however ...but, for sure, big!

I have the vintage jumbo and love it, but I would definitely like a bigger bag. The price is outrageous!!! I wouldn't be surprised if it's $3850 by some time next year.

I guess I am the only one who is not surprised by the price. I don't even think it's outrageous. I was told sometime ago that this bag would be STARTING at $4,000. So I guess that was what I was expecting so I'd prepared myself hah. I mean actually with the prices of Chanel anyway now, $3250/$3450 sounds about right actually. Good thing I don't really like the XL Jumbo's at all though...at least the vintage ones. I'll have to wait for the photos....are these new ones coming with gold hardware only?

(I'm not suprised by the price, In Australia we pay over $3000 for medium/large.. I know the rate is different etc, but I am not shocked that a bag of it's size is priced how it is)
