Would a Medallion be a better alternative and more lightweight than the GST? From what I gathered the GST is a bit wider but they are comparable size overall??

^^No, the PST and Medallion are closer in size. The GST is much larger than the Medallion and PST, almost twice the size inside the bag.

The Medallion is ackward for me, I'd prefer a PST.

I just bought my very first Chanel a few days ago (a GST), and I am absolutely in love with it If you carry quite a lot, it's the perfect bag. Even my boyfriend cannot stop commenting about how beautiful it is :) Good luck with your decision!

I got my black patent GST a few weeks ago. I have been using it ever since. I absolutely love it. It's roomy & great for an everyday bag. If I'm going out at night I will switch to one of my med. flaps though. The only drawbacks I can find is it does tend to get a bit heavy & it will start to slouch a bit. I don't mind the slouching. I think it gives it some character.

jdtan513 - the GST is 13"H x 6"W x 9 1/2 H.
