Thumbs down Hall of shame - Bloomingdale's

I wanted to share with me the worst experience I had with Bordeaux Patent Jumbo I bought last week at Bloomies. I was so excited when my SA called me Wednesday and said that she had brand new bag waiting dor me.
She is a very lovely and honest woman and the bag she showed to me was absolutely perfect. It was brand new with all the wrapping, even around the handles, between flap and body of the bag, we even ispected the chains - there were no inperfections - bag was a virgin. Needless to say she even applied $550 to the bag I had of my Gift Card - which brough the price of the bag to $2,500.

Anyway, as ususal - she shipped it to me. It came Saturday - and I was shocked when opened the package - that was not my bag . O yes, it was Bordeauz Flap but it had some crample paper inside, no wrapping what so ever, no booklets or cards inside.

It has never happended to me neither with Saks or NM - Saks indeeed lost one of my bags but they credit my account immediately once they discovered that. But I was always sure if my SA would send me the bag - it would be the bag I saw.

This is pure fraud .I also can prove it since the SA's sticker on the box and the sticker on the bag - are 2 different ##'s. That means that whoever sold the other bag just switched it with mine ( literally stole the bag).

I am so upset, I called my SA but she was off for 2 days. I know it wasn't her. Besides there were 2 other SA's with us when I bought the bag and they also can verify tot he fact that the bag was brand new. That was at Chanel boutique on the 4th floor not Chanel bag's on the 1st so these 2 women weren't bag's SA.

I know that I can return the bag , but I really want some justice in this case. Plus I still want the bag.

That's awful. But I don't know that I'd blame Bloomingdale's at this point. It looks like it's solely the fault of the other SA (who definitely should not be allowed to get away with doing that kind of thing).

People are so bad nowadays ... the individual who did that obviously does not have a conscience. I really do feel bad for you and hope that your SA can get find the bag or a replacement.

I just spoke with my SA and obviously she is not that concern. I told her that I want to do something about the other SA but she said that we wouldn't go that far and she'll find me the other brand new bag. May be she doesn't want to make waves since she is realtively new to Bloomies. I don't know but it is so starnge and I know for ta fact that the sticker tells the whole story - you actually don't have to have a receipt once you have a sticker.

Oh, that's annoying. That other SA should really get in trouble for doing that! But I really hope your SA finds you a brand new bag.

Maybe you could call a higher up over it? I can understand that your SA wouldn't want to take an active role and earn the ire of her coworkers, but maybe if it is out of her hands then you can still get some satisfaction?

I bought a top at Bloomingdales and they put that sticker on the tag. AFter one week I decided to return it, but could not find my receipt. The cashier I brought it to was going to give me a refund, but it was much less than what I paid. I told her I had paid full price, and she sad that stupid sticker came up differently in price on her register. I argued with them, but they said they could only return for the price that came up in their computer.

I went home and dug around till I found the receipt, sure enough it showed I paid full price. They apologized, but I try not to shop there anymore. I don't trust them.

Very strange - now I started to get suspisious. I called my SA like 2 hours ago, she promised to get back to me right away with info on whether she would find another bag for me - but so far I did not hear from her. I wouldn't think that she would jeopardise her relethionship with customer who buys $3000 bags from her , but again, one would never know fro sure

Probably to save on tax. Just guessing, but I see this a lot.

If I can save on tax - I would have it shipped. And about the sticker - once sale is going thru - system prints the sticker that have a full information about the sale - Nordstrom and Bloomies have similar systems - usually it gets attach on the tag. So if you don't even have a receipt and bought it on store card - it has all the info.

Anyway, in this case - there are 2 stickers - one is attached to the box and one is attached to the Chanel tag on the bag itself. And these ##'s are different - it would be really easy to find out which SA sold the other bag or as I now suspect - is something fishy about the whole thing at all.

My SA still did not call me back from 10 in the morning.
