Question Got chanel shoes on sale - but will they not fit me after pregnancy?

Hi ladies, those of you who have given birth, I need your help. I heard from some friends that their feet got bigger/swallon during pregnancy, and stayed that way after given birth, is that true?

I am in my 4th month now and so far my feet didn't get swallon/bigger, but I just got some chanel shoes during sale and I wanna make sure I can really wear them along the way....any advice?

:) i bought lots of shoes too when I was preggie, my feet swell up towards the last month. i was a 37 previously, after that I was 37.5. it has pretty much stayed that way, my ballet flats from chanel for 37 is a little snug, I fit in 37.5 better, but it may also have been that I am quite use to wearing flip flops and open toe sandals for 10 months? I have not gotten back to heels as yet.

They get swollen in the last month, that's when you won't be able to wear your cute shoes anymore.

Your foot should return to normal after a few months. But everyone is different and some people have actually gone up 1/2 size after having kids.

Before given birth (6 years ago), my shoes size were size 6 or 6 1/2. Now my size is 7 or 7 1/2!

For it was during the last trimester, I experience lot of swollen on my feet and even hands due water retention. As for my feets, they actually grew size larger!

^Oh no, should I keep those cute chanel shoes I just bought then?? If my feet will be 1/2 to a size bigger, then I can probably wear these new shoes for a few months, what a waste!! Do you think I can have some of my expensive shoes stretch so they will still fit after giving birth?

Like Mon said. Everyone is difference! You may or may not change in shoes size.

Sorry I don't know much about getting shoes stretch. But there was once, I bough a shoes from Nordstrom & did not fit. So I returned but the SA offered to have it stretch to fit me better.

I would just keep them.
And take good care of them.
If they don't fit later on, sell them on eBay.
Enjoy them now though!

That was pretty much my experience. I stayed up a 1/2 size, despite loosing the baby weight. So I started getting rid of all my 38's and buying 38.5's and even 39's! Now, three years later, my foot is a 38 again and I have a closet full of shoes that are too big for me

oh wow, so in your case it took 3 years for your feet to go back to the old size!! Sounds like you had to keep buying new shoes the whole time.

I've pretty much have stayed the same until the last two months of my pregnancy when my feet started to swell. After the birth i went back to my original size. I would keep them just incase you don't go back to your original size. My friend went up 1 size after her pregnancy, so it's different for everyone.

I would be so bumped if my new shoes won't fit me post-pregnancy!! Is there anything you could do to somehow minimize the swollen/bigger foot? I was told to elevate my feet when I sit down.

For both of my pregnancies, my feet remained size 36. Exercise like walking can minimise water retention which is the cause of swallen feet. After the excess water is removed after delivery (diff people diff period of time), the joints of the feet may go back to normal ot stay that way...I had a fren who grew from size 5 to size 7 after multiple births...

I agree, everyone is different, but mine pretty much stayed the same at a 37.5 and did not swell until the last month. I think it is what you eat and if you still exercise, IMO. My feet now are actually in more like a US 7 wide, so I gave up some length and picked up width.
