Default Flaps and J12's... whattamatch or notsomuch?

I apologize if this has come up before... Esp without the search function.

I am on this subforum all the time but don't post very much. I'm still learning about Chanel so I love to read and read and admire here LoL

I knew DH was getting me a white J12 (33cm, no bling) for the holidays, so I used a store credit and bought a Chanel white caviar med flap. I admired it and left it in storage for the winter.

Now warm weather has made me bring it out to admire again. I my J12, but I think with the med flap it might be too matchy matchy. Something seems a little off... Or is it just me not used to so much white? It IS a wonderful colour for summer!! But no matter what I decide, I'm keepin the J12 lol

What do you think? Is it cute to match your white J12 to your white flap, or a little overdone?

I think that it is fine. I have the white J12 (38MM) and a white GST. At first, I had the same concern. But now, after wearing the J12 for a while...it just seems like a great watch (I don't really think about the "white chanel" part...so I wear them together a lot and love them! If you love each piece, I don't think that anyone really notices the "matchi-ness". Congrats on your beautiful new additions!

It really depends on your style.

Some people find matching to be a fashion rule, others find it faux paus.

I say match it if it looks right with your outfit! And yes, I think it's very cute. I don't wear my J12 unless there's something white in my outfit, anyways.

I think it would be fine as long as everything you are wearing is not white - but still, if you look good in it, who cares?

My problem with the J12 is that I can only wear it when I am wearing silver jewelry and silver hardware but I usually match jewelry and bag and shoes ...

I think they will look great together, in fact I'm quite jealous! I want a J12 and a white caviar flap .

I wear my white J12 with my white caviar jumbo. I don't think it's too matchy matchy at all. If you wear white pants with a white top and a white J12 and a white caviar flap, THEN that might be overdoing it.

I definitely think it would work, as long as you don't wear any other white.

I wear my white j12 with my white flaps all the time. I love it. Something about the white ceramic that looks great with white quilting. Its not matchy matchy at all. Its not like you're carrying a white ceramic bag or a leather quilted watch LOL.
