I've decided to take the plunge and get my first Chanel bag.
(Granted, I'm sure everyone will think it's a fake when I carry it, but whatever.)My analysis-paralysis, however, is taking over. I want something classic, but something that also has a bit of a twist to it. I'm lost as where to start with all the choices. I'm planning to buy from Neimans. Is that a bad idea? Do the boutiques have more/better selections? Help! Any suggestions on how to go about narrowing down the choices or what styles might fit my criteria? I was looking online and besides the basic flaps, I do like the Large Shopping Bag (A20995) and the Zippered Handbag (A20666) Any thoughts? Thanks! |

I would definitely go to a boutique or department store and try on lots of bags. Bags can look appealing on line and then when you try them on they may not be what you expected... I personally like buying from Neiman Marcus because you can get rewards/ special financing, unlike boutiques. I wish you luck in your hunt for the perfect first bag!

Personally I love Neiman Marcus as they offer special financing and rewards like babyontheway mentioned. As for your first bag, you may need to look around and try things on to see how you like it. You can never go wrong with a Chanel, good luck!

My first bag came from Neiman's, new and pristine. I received financing (extended days to pay). This gave me time to debate on whether or not I wanted to keep the bag. With the boutiques you have 14 (fast) days to decide!
