I agree with others to get the timeless clutch! I personally think that lambskin would be more elegant for black tie events compared to caviar.

I have found that a mini lambskin classic flap goes with any evening event

I have the timeless clutch in lambskin. One thing to consider is that the lambskin is very delicate and can look worn if used often.
For me it's a catch-22. I never go anywhere, so mine look great, but at the same time, b/c I don't go anywhere, I have very little use for it.
It's beautiful, and I definitely recommend it. The silver version is fabulous!

I have a pretty one i like, but because it's an evening bag I don't use it that much because of it's size. It's hot pink kind of a fuschia color with gold hardware, and it was my first chanel

I think the clutch is great! Love the lambskin, looks much more luxurious compared to caviar.

Oh! Is that how it works? If you ship to a state that doesn't have a Chanel Boutique you can avoid the tax?

Even though a clutch is a great evening bag, I need something with a strap. I use my medium black flap as an evening bag and it works for me - big enough for everything I need to carry and I can wear it on my shoulder or in the crook of my elbow, leaving my hands free.
