Default Each of my bags has a story - come share your stories too!!!

I have finally settled very happily with my 4 Chanel bags. Each has its own little story. I thought I'd share. Please share your little stories too.
My cream expandable flap -
I won this on an auction on *bay - I set a max amount and really didn't expect to win and when I did, I was more horrified than happy at that time LOL. This bag has grown on me and now I love it!

My Anniversary reissue 227 - matte black with gold h/w -
This is the bag that started my love "hunt" for Chanel bags. Actually, I originally wanted a 226 with silver h/w the moment I saw this one, it was

No. 3 is Ms Bordeaux patent -
I bought this, let it go, and couldn't get it out of my mind. Thankfully, I managed to get it back again!!!

And I got this in the post today
Grey GST -
I have a love hate relationship with the GST but realised this was the tote for me when I saw it in grey.

And I honestly feel my family is complete!
Please do share your stories and pics too.

Well, I have the expandable, like you, in black, its by far my most used Chanel, so number of wears makes this bag definately my best buy ever!

and here with my Camelia wallet

Then I bought a few too many too quickly (its so easy to get caught up in the Chanel bug lol), and found that I was not using them and they were just sitting in their boxes looking pretty!!

So with a heavy heart I sold a batch and purchased this Opening the box was up there with the most exciting moments ever !!!! 38mm with diamond markers and diamond centre

So now, I have my J12, a vintage red medium with gold hardware, my expandable with S/H and I am just about to get the Jumbo in black lambskin with silver hardware. So I have finally been sensible and whittled it down to the bags I really need, as opposed to all the ones I have owned but not used!!

OK here goes...Along the way, I sold a few bags that didn't quite suit me or never got to see daylight...But I do have 4 left, just like you!

1. I managed to find a brand new 06 matte 226 black reissue awhile ago, it was at first sight, and it's also the most often used flap amongst them.
2. I never ever wanted a Baby Cabas until I decided I needed a black tote.
3. I've always wanted a tweed flap as well and the threads go with sooo many colours its just perfect for me!
4.Always wanted a purple flap, almost had a heart attack when I saw jmen post a picture of her ew on TPF. Couldn't have asked for more, love this exact shade!!!

I have a dark gray Vintage Ligne bag that I bought on eBay (for way too much money). The bag has a special "Presse" tag on the inside of it. After calling Chanel I was told that my bag was intended as a sample bag and shouldn't have been for sale. Sample bags are not different in any way but they are used to generate publicity so they are distributed to fashion editors, stars, etc. It's kind of neat to wonder where my bag has been..

I love these Chanel stories~~~ It's interesting to read how we came about our choices in keeping selling a bag.

Thanks for sharing

My Chanel cerf tote story....
A few weeks before the birth of my baby (who is now 6), I was shoping at my local Salvation Army, when I saw this beuty in the display case. My Salvation Army received shoes, handbags, and clothes donations from our local Neimans, and the parking lot was always full of fancy cars with fancy ladies looking for fancy bargains!! This has since changed, but anyhoo....SO..i see this gorgeous bag in the display case for $400, with price tags still on (I believe it was $1600), only flaw is that the Chanel label has been cut out of the inside of the purse. I admired it for a bit, but decided it was just too much to spend on a bag. After leaving the store, but within a few blocks..I realized the lunacy of this decision, and hightailed it back. This is still one of my most loved handbags, as I can see myself carrying it years from now...

vhdos - your Vintage Ligne must be one special and unique bag - and dark grey too.
