The SA recommended it to him and he thinks it's very beautiful, so he bought it without asking me first. When I found out that he actually bought the coco puzzle patent reissue in black, I was not tooo happy because originally, I really wanted an ordinary reissue as my first Chanel bag (and I was too naive at that time to think that it will be my first and last Chanel...haha...of course what happened afterwards was totally the opposite!! )

So, my DH came back home with the coco puzzle patent flap, which is my 1st Chanel. It's very pretty indeed, but then, I thought I could use this money to buy an ordinary reissue instead, and it's a size 226 equivalent which is a bit too small for me. I was thinking of selling it....until......I saw something inside the bag which totally changed my mind!!

OMG!! My DH secretly put in a note inside the secret zipper compartment underneath the outer flap!!! I was so touched because DH remembered that I told him this compartment is where Coco hides her love letters!! And after reading the note, I immediately went to tears.....!! It says,

"It's destiny that I was able to find this bag in Paris and love it.
Just like it's destiny that I was able to find you to be part of my life.
2 destinies are both with us now....." (dated March 17, 2008 in Paris)

So, this coco puzzle has an extra special meaning to me. Today is our 2nd anniversary, and we are off to Paris this Saturday to celebrate it. I my DH!!

P.S. I just got my DH a Chanel tie and plan to give him tonight as one of the wedding anniversary gifts.

OMG - This is the best story I've ever heard! What a wonderful husband you have (and an AMAZING collection of bags as well!)

Here is my story...a year ago, I had no idea that I would come to love Chanel so much!

Last November, I was searching for my first Chanel bag. I was "talked into" buying a black caviar GST, by an SA, as she said it was a good, first Chanel to have. It sat in my closet for three months, tags still on it, until a friend bought it from me! In the meantime, I found the Caviar & Pony Tote, that was so unlike the GST, yet so like me! The super thick, distressed leather smelled divine and even though my DH thought my handbag obsession was odd, he called this bag my "signature" bag!

Next, thanks to tpf I figured I had to have a Vintage Lambskin Chanel. This too has sat in my closet since purchasing it! Then, at the holidays, I decided that I needed a bronze bag! Believe it or not, I found the coveted Dark Gold Reissue in 226 size, for sale on Bag Borrow or Steal the day after Christmas! I had no idea, at the time, that it was such a "wanted" bag!

Again, thanks to tpf, I saw Cruise 08 pics on here and absolutely fell in love with the large Navy Blue LAX tote. There were only four being made in the large size, in Navy, for the entire US. I didn't know if I could actually find one to buy, but thanks to Jason at the Bellagio Chanel, he snagged one for me as soon as it came out. The next beauty that caught my eye was the Jumbo distressed Hybrid in brown. I'd seen it on tpf on a few members but when I first saw it in person, I felt drawn to it! I wasn't really into flaps (had tried a few reissues and returned them) but I liked that this flap matched my weird hair color!

Around June of this year, I found that I was wearing the Blue LAX most of all and had stopped wearing the Caviar & Pony Tote because the double chains fell off my shoulder and it was way too heavy. I wanted a black Chanel bag that had one strap like my LAX Tote. Then I found her! The Rock 'N Chic bag! I didn't like that it had virtually the same logo as the LAX bag but I loved the shape of it and the one strap.

There were other Chanels that I tried in between these but these ended up staying awhile.

The GST is now on my friend's arm...I just sold the Caviar & Pony Tote to a great girl who is serving our country overseas, the Dark Gold Reissue has long since been sold to a "special someone" so I'm down to the Navy LAX Tote, the Jumbo Brown Hybrid Reissue and the Rock 'N Chic.

I wonder what will come next?!?

my favourite is the Jumbo brown hybrid, it looks perfect on you and you have beautiful hair :)

And that dark gold reissue... it's my HG .... hope I will find it one day :)
