Great thread C! Lucky A told me about it hehe... Here goes with my story, hope I dun bore everyone!

I first decided I HAD to get a Chanel when I started actively surfing bag blogs last year and came across pictures of the 2005 grey and black reissues. Called the Singapore Chanel boutique and spoke to a sweet SA called Anthea who told me they didn't have any at the moment but would keep me in mind. Then a lot of lovely ladies at tpf helped me with my search and gave me their SA contacts in the US. I found out about a metallic black reissue with silver hw (at the time I thought gold hw would be too "old" for me) and put myself on the waitlist in Hawaii.

As luck would have it, Anthea called me one fine day and told me she just got 2 black reissues with gold hw in the store (sz 226) and would keep one for me. They didn't sound particularly appealing to me (I wanted silver hw) but she said they were beautiful and looked very "vintage". On top of that, she called again a few days later and told me they were having 10% off for select credit cards, so I definitely had to go in to see. I decided I would just try it on for size (my metallic black on hold was also size 226). But when I saw it, I was in love. It was truly love at first sight, I could NOT put her down and even though I didn't manage to get the 10% off because I didn't have that particular bank's credit card, I HAD TO HAVE HER!

Then I told myself, okay, ONE Chanel is enough.

Of course we ALL know by now that one Chanel is never enough. I was more active on tpf at the time and started seeing all these pictures of a beautiful bag called the luxury bowler. I became obsessed with getting my hands on it. As luck would have it, a tpfer posted that she'd seen various colours in Tokyo, which is where I was headed for my honeymoon! The big Chanel in Ginza disappointed me though, as they only had one colour, a dubious looking (to me) patent dark yellow. So I tried the Chanel at Isetan Shinjuku and found my HG dark silver bowler!!! I thought THAT's enough now...

Sadly, the Chanel bug bit again and I somehow made up my mind to get a classic flap. So I took the plunge and ordered a white classic jumbo from the US from a lovely SA (contact also courtesy of my wonderful tpf friends) and I thought that was it!

Of course, then came news that Chanel was coming up with another grey reissue! That was the bag I was waiting for since I first saw pics of the 2005 reissues. I HAD to have one! And a friend happened to be in Paris, so I begged her to find one for me. She found one and there you go!

So that's the story of how I got my 4 Chanels, I seriously doubt I will get another in the next few months (my DH will kill me!) Thanks for reading, hope I didn't bore all of ya!

A tote is a good choice since you already have 3 flaps.... how about a red GST, I think Jill has one...gorgeous..
