Do you regret your non-Chanel purchases?

I love the way Gucci does python, so I am considering either the bamboo medium satchel or sabrina tote.

Trying to live a life of no regrets. I did however send back the large YSL croc embossed Tribute recently, to exchange for a Chanel. The YSL was so highly coveted by many, me included, and I was very fortunate to have landed one at the time. But after sitting in my closet unused for many months, it just didn't make sense to keep it.

no regrets...i love all my bags. i only let go of the ones that i don't use often enough...including chanel bags!

Just depends if you are Brand Loyal or not. I know people that enjoy all designers. I personally am more brand loyal. I wanted my next purchase to be Chanel but because of the price increase I have been looking at non chanel. I havent purchased yet, because I know I just prefer CC's on my bag

. So I may just wait it out.

Although Chanel is my fav and also comprises most of my collection, I can't say I am upset with any non-Chanel purchase with the exception of one - the Dior Gaucho. That is also the only bag I ever sold.

I have a few I don't use but I still like them like the Luella Giselle which when it was really popular, I got it for $400 from Barney's in SF because it was a return and there was a bit of 'wear and tear' on the inside lining.

I did fall into the 'it' bag trap - a marc jacobs, a mulberry, etc. but now I stick to Chanel, LV, Prada and Fendi but not for trendy bags. One of my fav bags is the Fendi Spy and the Fendi Diablo which like no one carries.

No way! Since I bought my first Chanel bag (August 2007) I have not abandoned my other favorite designers (LV and Gucci). Non-Chanel Bags I have purchased include an LV Speedy (great for traveling, low maintenance, big & matches everything), & a black Gucci python horsebit hobo (

exotic skins). In addition, I still use all of the bags I had prior to my intro to Chanel.

Any regrets I have are because I don't use the bag enough to justify the $, but not b/c it's not Chanel.

^applecandy: sorry to go OT but do you happen to have style no and measurements for your gucci python horsebit hobo? i think that's the one i saw in an ad but since they don't sell python here i've not been able to see it in person...do you think it's still available anyway? tia!

Yes...I purchased the Chloe paddington...and due to the weight of the padlock..the bag is very heavy...I should have spent a few dollar more and brought a Chanel...

I never regret any of my bag purchases. I have some that I still use year after year. If I find that the bags are not being loved like they used to be - - then I sell them - - but it doesn't matter what brand they are - - I just love handbags - - & fashion!
