Default Dark Silver Reissue - 226 or 227?

Hi ladies, I like the 227 size better as I tend to carry quite abit of stuff. But given this is shiny and it stands out, will it be better in a 226 size? Could you ladieswho have these bags share your experience? TIA.

227! It's definitely more user-friendly. For 226, you might not be able to put in all your stuff. At least, that's my experience.

Thanks ladies, i certainly prefer the 227 too. If i'm buying a black, i'll def go for 227. But in dark silver, is a 227 too loud?

I love both sizes and agree that 227 is a lot more practical, but I prefer dark silver in 226 size.

I've got the dark silver in 226 and although it doesn't carry everything I usually put in my bag, I think it might seem a bit too much with that color in the 227. I would consider the 227 more of an everyday type of bag which IMHO I would get in a more classic color.

I have Dark Silver 226 and still waiting for my Metallic Black 226 to be delivered to me. and I say, 226 is the perfect size on reissues
But if your stuffs wont fit in a 226. Then I'd say get the 227 but i won't recommend it in Dark Silver, too blingy. How about the Metallic Black in 227? It's very versatile. And will be a good everyday bag too

Thanks for your advice. I agree 226 is the perfect size for reissues. I havent seen a 226 and 227 next to each other. The Met Black 227 looks great and perfect for an everyday bag but I just bought a luxury line black patent shopping tote earlier this year. Although patent and the metallic leather are different, do i need another black bag?

I have the 226... I saw the 227 in person, and it just looked too blingy to me. I just carry less when I use it :) Good luck!

227 Black Metallic. Its almost understated, but it has a certain look to it to stand out. I love mine, I wore it to dinner as a clutch (chains pulled in) than with my jeans worn messenger style. Its versatile and I think practical.

Black Luxe Patent Tote and Metallic Black Reissue are completely different bag. Although they have the same color and both have that sheen effect. But Patent tote is more like a casual/day bag. While the Metallic black reissue can go from day to night bag and dnt worry if you have both black bags. I know a lot of lovely ladies here have a lot of black chanel bags in their collection. I myself have 3 Black bags (medium flap, 225 and 226 Reissue) and im on the waitlist for Luxe Metallic Bowler in black and planning to buy Black Jumbo Flap.
But if the thought of having both black bags really bothers you. Then I'd say go for the Dark Silver 226. (maybe you can reduce some of your stuffs so it'll fit in) Dark Silver is really gorgeous IRL and very easy to match And besides, it's nice to have a variety
But the ultimate decision is yours. Choose the bag you like the most. And you won't regret it! Goodluck!

I absolutely agree - I use mine all the time in both day and evening. It is a practical size but not overwhelming and I think the metallic is very striking but not at all 'loud'. It is one of the best bag buys I've ever made. I love the dark silver too, but can't imagine it being quite as versatile, and would probably go for the 226 if it were a realistic purchase option for me at the moment!
