Thats what her listing says... it is not a typo ... just a way to get people interested in her bid and then bid what they think the bag is worth. She says she paid 1995 dollars for it and would like to get back what she paid for it.

I think its a clever tactic but I wont be bidding - hope the bag is authentic though!

That's what I think she was doing. I guess she wants a decent 'best offer' / bid for this auction.

For a 10K bag, even a low ball offer 3K is consider a decent offer for a baby cabas.

The seller mentions in the very first sentence that the bag clearly isn't worth 10K... she's obviously trying to attract attention/elicit reasonable best offers.

There is also an auction up for an original dark brown Cabas starting at $1500 with a reserve. I emailed the seller asking if she would disclose the reserve price because I knew the original Cabas retailed for $1650 and did not want to pay too much over retail. She replied that I was "misunderstood", that the bag she is selling retailed for over $3K. She even linked me to an auction of the "mini" Cabas (as she called it) selling for $2400 in an effort to prove her larger size was much more expensive. I replied that sellers often mark up retail to cover their fees and am well aware of the retail price of both the original Cabas and baby Cabas that were/are sold in boutiques and department stores. I even linked her to the Reference Forum showing photos and price tags of the various Cabas sizes. Still, she couldn't let go, thanking me for the information and stating "I know what I paid for my bag." Yeah, you got ripped off big-time on eBay if you paid over $3K for an original Cabas! Her shipping charge is high, does not include insurance, and she has two feedbacks about slow shipping and item never received. This is a relist as her first auction didn't have one single bid which is odd for an original dark brown Cabas. I wonder if she even has the bag to sell, or if her fb is scaring away potential buyers.
