hi minal...hope you dont mind me answering...i have this same jacket, its tweed with metallic threading, so its not patent leather or satin...

Hi Cory, thanks for your info. I am happy that both you and I have picked this jacket as our MUST-HAVE RTW for this fall. I am definitely waiting for you to post pics of your gorgeous RTW pieces.

Hi Minal, let me add more details for this jacket. As Cory pointed out, this jacket is black tweed with metallic threading. It is trimmed with the black zipper teeth at the collar, edges of the sleeves, etc. to give an effect which I think you referred to as patent leather. The inner lining of the jacket (if I fold it out, it becomes the collar) is made of silk with another material (which I forgot) and it has some sort of satin-looking effect.
IMHO, I think the metallic threading on this jacket creates a chic and modern looks in addition to its classic appearance. I found it very easy to pull off.


Also, thanks everyone. Hope you ladies are getting more gorgeous Chanel pieces too.
