Yes, it absolutely correct. In fact if you can somehow look at the underside of the zipper head itself it should read "lampo".

How about using a compact mirror to see the underside of the zipper head?

Most Chanel jewelry will have a makers mark. For costume jewelry it's usually an oval tag somewhere on the piece - even including tiny earrings.

Costume jewelry come in Chanel boxes the top being black and bottom white. There is always a sticker on the outside that gives a picture and information of the jewelry like style# etc. Normally there is a grey egg-crate foam inside the box to protect the costume jewelry.

Some guidelines which you can use searching eBay for Chanel authentic sunglasses

On the left arm you will find 4 numbers:
  • Model number
  • Frame color/lens color number
  • Lens diameter/nose bridge lenght
  • Bar lenght
On the right arm you will find:

©CHANEL® Made in Italy C€ + CC logo

There must be Chanel laser etched in one or both lenses at the top
In one lens there must be a serial number laser etched on the side of the lens in the middle

A new pair of Chanel sunglasses bought in the stores comes with:

Certificate of Authenticity
Manufacturer’s information note from Luxoticca Group
Chanel hard case (mostly in black, sometimes in pearl white cases)
Chanel box (black hard cardboard box with white Chanel lettering)
Chanel cleaning cloth (comes in different colors and sizes)

All of the above mentioned can surely be copied on fakes (Chanel hard cases and boxes can often be found on eBay,
which will happily be bought by sellers of fakes who use them in their auctions), besides the laser etching.
I have yet to see a fake one with laser etched lenses.

i just received a vinyl bag from NM, however, the hologram sticker # doesn't match the authenticity card.# . It's a return item from another customer, will they mess up the authenticity card?

Hi:
I have another tip for the Chanel collectors. The tag with the serial number which is always on another leather tag should have glitter between the tag and the leather tag. Quote me if I'm wrong...........

I have a question regarding this. I had some window shopping with my DH this afternoon and I've been to some second hand shops that sells authentic handbags. I've seen that some Jumbo Flaps have their CC closure stamped on the top right. Is this definite? or not applicable to all handbags?

This is just one measurement of authenticity, if the CC is stamped on the top right (seen on some older/vintage bags) and everything else points to authentic we have leaned towards the bag being authentic. We do not rule out authenticity based on just one factor.
