My black/black Cambon bowler has fushia lining (like a hot pink color).

Beige/back Cambon Reporter has black lining - like a greyish black.

I know for sure that the black and white cambon bowlers, reporters, buckets and pochettes have hot pink (fuchsia) lining.

The pink and beige reporters, bowlers, buckets, and pochettes have black lining.

The brown and green reporters, bowlers, buckets, and pochettes have orange lining.

The white camera bags (like this one) have white lining:

The pink Camera bags have matching pink lining:

So I'm going to guess that the black camera bag has black lining, etc.

These are Michele's quotes regarding authenticity numbers and corresponding years:

Quote:
Mostly, the hologram can indicate when the bag was produced.
For example, if the hologram has 8 digits starting with a 10, its from 2005-2006.
For the last couple of years, this method has been reliable:
2006-2007 11
2005-2006 10
2004-2005 9 (7 digits)
2003-2004 8
2002-2003 7
2001-2002 6
etc, etc....
The older chanel bags are a little more difficult. For example, the first holograms in the 80's started with a 0 and by the time the 1's came out it was already late 80's early 90's.
Quote:
A 10 (eight digit number was produced in 2005 and 2006. I have actually started to see a few 11's for fall season bags.
So for 2006 You would see holograms with 8 numbers
10XXXXXXXX and 11XXXXXXXX
2005 - 7 numbers if its a nine
9XXXXXX and 10XXXXXX
2004 (7 numbers)
8XXXXXX and 7XXXXXXX
etc, etc.... I think this is a pretty good method, until you get around the 2's and 3' and 4's. The first hologram started with a 0 (7 digit) number. The older chanel numbers are a little more tricky, because by the time the hologram had a 2 the bag was probably from the late 80's early 90's.

Do not be alarmed if you see a YKK stamped zipper on your medium or large classic flaps. The classical colours (black, white, beige etc.) use an EP stamp, the seasonal colours use YKK. We don't know how consistent this is yet (e.g. we don't know if classical colours can use YKK or if ALL seasonal colours use it) BUT we have noted YKK zippers on:
  • 2005 Red Caviar - Medium
  • 2006 Coral Lambskin - Large
  • 2006/2007 Violet Lambskin - Large
  • 2006/2007 Bleu Fonce Lambskin - Large
Be aware that this is new knowledge, and Chanel have given some conflicting information regarding the use of YKK zippers, in particular to those who post on the eBay boards. I have seen the YKK zippers myself in the Sydney boutique, and this was confirmed in the Melbourne boutique (Australia).

If double checking yourself, I suggest going into the store. Otherwise if you call your SA make sure to ask them to check:
  • Medium or Large Classic Flaps 2.55 in a SEASONAL colour, Jumbo or East-West will not have two flaps.
  • The zipper on the inner flap, which should be the same colour as the bag
This information has been verified by Khai, Smoothprter, waterfall, loveone7 and ofcourse myself.

Posted are inner zips with EP on the classic colour white, and YKK on the seasonal colours.

I have a 2006/2007 Fall White patent reissue (bought from Paris store so there is no Q on Authenticity) and the zipper is YKK. (Note while outside is Patent, inside is normal leather)

Here's The pic for your reference

Hi guyss...

i've been wondering about my bag..i have a black caviar jumbo flap bag, but how come my inside zipper doesnt have ep or ykk stamp on it...it just a normal zipper metal plate with chanel written on it and cc logo at the back of it...

moreover, how many types of caviar leather does chanel have?
according to some of my friends, caviar comes in 2 type, one is a normal caviar and other one is smoother caviar...is that true?

I know exactly what kind of zipper pull you are talking about, but I don't remember if Chanel uses these for Classic Jumbo's. I'll have to do a search to see.

I believe there was a "new caviar" released recently. Do a search for "new caviar".

This is another kind of zipper that Chanel uses. Not sure what the markings on the actual zipper are, but the pull reades Chanel on one side and interlocking CC's on the other.

Checking out the number in my 2.55 reissue, the one does not have a slash but the zeros do?

Actually what is meant by the slash on the one is the bottom part of the 1 - just like how it is typed.

For example, the hologram would look like 1 vice l
