Default color choice

ok, i have a black medallion and looking for another bag to add to my small collection. I have cambon bowler, (pink), off white WOC and I am thinking of adding a medium flap or GST. I was going to go with beige because it is netural, can wear all year long and would probable match with just about everything,
However I see so many of you consider Red or bordaux, to be a staple. Do you recommed a red/burgandy bag before a beige? Would love to hear all your thoughts and or suggestions. Thanks

I think a beige medium flap in caviar would be a great choice. I don't recommend getting a red bag before though. It depends on how much you would use it obviously...and which matches your wardrobe more. What kind of red would you like? With what leather? Right now for the classic flap look, they only have burgundy & bordeaux patent flaps, and the dark red-brown lambskin flaps. If you want a true lipstick red, you'll have to wait. It's hard to find them on eBay as well, and if you do, they are at an obscene price!

So I say beige for now (in caviar, way more durable as you know) & this is coming from someone who really adores red Chanel! But if you really love the dark reds and will use it a lot, go for the red. But I think beige is more practical & like you said, very neutral. It sounds like you would be better off with beige.

Also the new camel/beige patents are very pretty...but i'd be worried about color transfer.

Think about what kind of red you like, though. That will help you a lot.

I think some red or beige would keep your collection growing in variety;
I love the GST in Red bordeaux and also the flap in this bordeaux red one, its non lipstick red, but if you like more another tone of red then i guess go for beige.

Red its very matchable even though it doesnt seem like that, plus you already have most neutral colors in ur collection.
