I use the exact same one for my Chanels (caviar and reissue bags) and other leather handbags. No problems at all and it's great to give the leather a fresh rub now and then =)

Have you considered trying to redye it yourself, using a Tarrago dye kit? It's worked miracles on some Bbags, in the balenciaga thread.

The conditioner works okay for me, but some marks/stains can't always be removed from my experience.

I don't think this works on patent. I know Tana has a patent spray. Try that.
I am going to try this....I love my patent Chanel wallet however, I have to clean it constantly...I hope this helps. Thanks

Hi! I'm posting here because I have a vintage light pink Bally bag, very similar to the quilted Chanel lambskin bags, and it had some dirt on it. I used Apple Cleaner on it with no problems, removed the dirt beautifully and made it look brand new, but I went ahead and used the Conditioner on it per the instructions and now the leather's been darkened! I've been searching the forums and haven't seen any threads on if anyone's been able to remove the darkening? Would it help if I recleaned the dark spots with the Cleaner? TIA!!!

P.S. -- I also have a very vintage Chanel bag -- I called the Chanel boutique at Tysons and they said I can bring in any Chanel bag and it costs $265 for a full reconditioning, they even replace zippers, hardware, etc. So I would definitely send it to Chanel instead of spending $$$ at a third-party repair shop IMHO.

Hi there,
I used to use Appleguard but am now staying away from it. It will darken light colored Chanel bag since the product is more waxy. This darkening will eventually lighten, but depending on how deep it got, it will take some time. I now use Meltonian leather lotion and it is the best so far. I have used it on my Balenciaga and Chanel bags with good result. I have also used it on some of my python bags to lightly condition it. I think Meltonian is a good one to use for Chanel lambskin.

^Thanks so much for the suggestion!! I might have to check that out for next time, sigh. Here are some pics of the darkening by the way.. it's been over 24 hours and no luck with it getting lighter or anything ... I treated the pocket and the piping (where it had gotten dirty). Compare the pocket with the rest of the purse

I used Appleguard on a small area on my Chanel lambskin. Afterwards, I noticed that it darkened and I decided to put the bag aside, hopefully that it will dry. I, then, forgot completely until 3 months later, I pulled it out of the dust bag and the dark spot was gone. That's how long it took mine. Hopefully, it will be the same for you. It really depends on how much you soaked it. I did not soak mine a lot.

Oh, okay. I didn't think that I used a lot, just a dab and then rubbed it over the pocket and then another dab to get even coverage. Thanks so much for the info. Crossing fingers I guess...
