It'll be good if it's working for lambskin.Does any of you girls know if it's working for Vuitton bags?

It works but don't use it on light lambskin. It darkened one of my flaps! Not noticeable, but definitely a lesson learned!

The bottom of my white caviar GST turned yellow after using the apple guarde spray or the conditioner. Maybe I didn't probably dry the bottom first before spraying the sides. The sides, front and back are ok, but the bottom is really scary yellow, as if a yellow highlighter was drawn on it. It only showed after a few days.....

Actually, the Apple Cleaner is different than the Apple Leather Conditioner (in your title you mention the conditioner, but in your post, you mention the cleaner). I have used the Cleaner on my Balenciaga bags and have had no problem. It has worked well. But I think I have read that people have had problems with the Conditioner.

^I think that's the other way around. People have had trouble with the cleaner being too harsh. The conditioner (Appleguard Leather Care) is a cleaner/conditioner combo and more gentle.

^^ I agree with Roey-I have read that the cleaner may cause problems, not the conditioner. I have successfully used the Rain & Stain Repellent and the conditioner on most of my bags with no problems.

Fashionlover123 - what products did you use on your GST and in what order?? That is scary!

For me, it was the Appleguard Leather care - conditioner/cleaner combo. Not sure what did it, but I think I'm going to stay away when it comes to light colored lambskin bags. HTH

first I used apple leather cleaner, then apple leather conditioner, then I sprayed it with the apple guarde. Maybe I didn't completely let dry the bottom before putting it straight up to spray the sides. I really don't know. The bag was fine until a couple of days later when I was shocked to see the bright yellowing on the bottom. The front back and sides are ok though. Because it is a vintage series 4 GST and there wasn't any yellowing at all when I received it, so I figured out it must be the products. I won't buy white again.

I have never tried any products on my bag. I always take it to chanel to have them deal with it. Knowing me I will probably create more problems then solving them.

I took it to the chanel store, and the impatient SA there just gave me an address and phone number of a shop that does color restoration. She said since it is a vintage, she cannot send it back to the chanel store to refurbish it? I'll ask the store next week how much it is to redye just the bottom

fashionlover123: I have not personally sent anything back to Chanel for restoration/repair, but used a local cobbler who actually gets referrals from Neiman Marcus and all of the high end stores in the area.

I have also been investigating www.lovinmybags.com/. They sell all sorts of products for high end bags and also offer restoration services and they have a menu of their services on their web site. From what I hear, you will get your bag back a lot sooner than if you were to send it to Chanel.

I have a vintage lambskin flap that needs a little TLC, so I am looking into the best route to take (my local cobbler, LMB, or Chanel). From several other threads I have read, Chanel has taken in vintage bags for repair from other members, so I'm not sure why your SA told you they would not accept your bag? Maybe another case where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing Maybe other members who have sent their vintage bags will chime in with more info

Good luck and keep us posted.

^yeah I know that some of the TPF sent their vintage bags for refurbishment, and I told the SA, but she seems to lack knowledge and impatient and kind of rude. I use lovinmybags products for my dark vintage jumbo flap and it works fine. I used apple leather products on my white caviar GST cos tpfers raved about it, but it turned yellow. I saw that there is color restoration in lovinthebags and it costed 250-400 and I just want to redye the bottom.
I'll definitely keep you updated after I consult my local cobbler next Monday

^ Wow....hopefully the 250-400 price tag was for the whole bag and not just the bottom

Do you think they would be able to successfully color the bottom to where it will blend & match the rest of the bag?

I wish you lots of luck and we will stay tuned for the update! If you can, take some pics before you have anything done so we can see the results
