Default Chanel showcase boutique & exhibition open 9-26 June only Dover St Market, London

Chanel has announced that it will launch an "ephemeral" boutique in London's Dover Street market to showcase an edited selection of ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes from its Metiers d'Arts Paris-Londres collection.

"The tone is at the same time post-modern and romantic," says Karl Lagerfeld, describing the collection. "It integrates a delicate punk sophistication."

The boutique will be open from June 9 to 26 only.As well as being able to buy limited edition pieces from the now-iconic special Metiers d'Arts collection (Lagerfeld founded the Maison d'Art collection in 2002 to showcase the extraordinary talents of Chanel's seven specialist ateliers and such is its popularity that the collection is now stocked in all Chanel boutiques) and a selection from Chanel's mainline collection, there will be exclusive window displays and installations throughout the store devoted to the design house for the event.

Default Chanel to open temporary new LONDON boutique for Paris-Londres collection.

Just thought I'd share, Chanel is opening a temporary boutique in Dover Street, London to showcase it's Metiers d'arts Paris-Londres collection. This article was taken today from Vogue.com....

"IN A most exciting fashion world first, Chanel has announced that it will launch an "ephemeral" boutique in London's Dover Street market to showcase an edited selection of ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes from its Metiers d'Arts Paris-Londres collection.

"The tone is at the same time post-modern and romantic," says Karl Lagerfeld, describing the collection. "It integrates a delicate punk sophistication."

Schedule a trip to the boutique, which will be open from June 9 to 26 only, now - as well as being able to buy limited edition pieces from the now-iconic special Metiers d'Arts collection , and a selection from Chanel's mainline collection, there will be exclusive window displays and installations throughout the store devoted to the design house for the event. ^Ladydeluxe, it is so cruel of you to post macaroons in your avatar, they are making me seriously . Laduree macaroons are my all time weakness.

Thumbs up Chanel @ Dover Street Market, London

has anybody heard of the special collection of Chanel being sold at london's arbiter of avant garde style, the dover street market?

the offbeat store, dover street market(one of my favorite stores EVER) will stock exclusive, limited-edition pieces from the Paris-Londres Métiers d’Arts Collection of Chanel - and not a classic tweed jacket in sight. This ultimate marriage of chichi and radical is on until June 26. Shoes, £450, and bracelet, £545, both by chanel;

here's a link to the website - http://www.doverstreetmarket.com/dsmpaper/chanel/

i honestly think it's an amazing concept. i'm a huge fan of street style especially the ones you see on the streets of NYC, London, Paris or Tokyo. and mixing the hip dover street market concept with haute couture ultra luxury label chanel is the ultimate and i must say, after my own style aesthetic. the whole setting also reminds me of rei kawakubo's comme des garcons. i just love it SO MUCH!

i've also attached photos from the store. really cool stuff. i wish i could jet off to london just to go shopping at the store.

Default Chanel at Dover Street Market and some paris-london jewellery :)

Yesterday I day-tripped to London and checked out the Dover St. Market pop-up store, oh the many things there were to caress and stare! I didn't take pics since I can't seem to find my camera, but I got some pics from the Dover St. Market website

The storefront :)

This is on the ground floor, behind a showcase of some gorgeous head-pieces

I think this was on the first floor, nothing much to see but the dress is amazing in real life.

The menswear area. Those Karl "statues" where everywhere! it was quite fun looking for him and his clones hehe

This was on the last floor next to a cafe, unfortunately... none of the Paris-London bags where for sale but I got the chance to paw the Union Jack and now want it more than ever!

Of course, I refused to leave empty-handed... (pics to follow)

How london is this necklace? I admit it was a bit overpriced at £240 but... I couldn't pull away from it! There were also some bus earrings that had a CC logo on top of them, terribly cute but I feared I would look like Ms. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus so they had to be left. :) Kudos to my flat-mate for letting me borrow her camera

aand lastly, I decided to pop into Chanel at Bond St. and my heart stopped when I found out they had the feather "headpiece" up for sale!

It's quite strange that it comes as a pin instead of a headpiece, maybe the headpiece will arrive later :) till then, I am very happy with this one.
I am so in love with the paris-london collection... this is gonna hurt my finances hard....

hmmm... I don't remember any pins but all the Chanel boutiques had different things so maybe there's a pin lurking around??
They did however have earrings and a massive logo necklace, as sported by Agyness Deyn:
