Chanel Reporter (Pink)

I'm new here, so bare with me. lOl.

I'm in love with the Chanel Reporter bag & I've been trying to find the pink one forever.

My Grandma (she used to collect designer bags) gave me her Black with the white "C" logos just before she past away.

Recently, I found a seller who wants to sell the bag in Pink for $2,675.

It has been used very slightly & only shows use on the edges at the bottom of the bag.

The color is still nice.
It's bright pink, not pastel.

Is this a good price B/C the item is rare & well sought after?

I'm not sure if it's real & my mom is providing me with the majority of the money to pay for the item so she wants it to be 100% real.
So do I.

I took pictures with my camera phone but deleted them B/C they came out blurry.

Any advice?

I don't want a fake bag but it looks real so I'm lost & I really want this bag!
I compared the sizes to my black one & they are identical.

She doesn't have a card but it has the serial number in it.

My questions:
what year did this come out? I'm guessing around 2005/2004?
what if the outter pockets don't 100% align? Is it just B/C of time?

Where are you buying this bag from? If from eBay, you might want to post the listing on "AUTHENTIC THIS" thread under Chanel.

Actually, the reporter bag was a hit or miss. Many of the cambon styled bags later went on sale, especially the pink ones. So I wouldn't pay full retail for a pink reporter bag.

Another route is calling up your local Chanel boutique or NM and Saks, see if they have any in stock in some obscure state/ city. You never know.

There are tons of fake Chanel reporter bags around so I'd be wary buying it second hand.

i have a real one and on the front one of the pockets is slightly lower than the other.....i think thats just part of the bag, but post a pic here, these ladies know more than any sales associates!
