Roey and I have been trying to figure this one out. Chanel bags are made in both Italy and France. I have been trying to figure out from SAs and other tPF members what is going on with that and can't come to any conclusions. Even some bags from the same ligne come from both countries. Maybe I will get an answer from the Chanel reps on Friday at their trunk show.

I just bought a luxury flap in black and the silver plate says "made in France" is that normal?

Yep, Chanel is made both in France and in Italy. This one really has me and roey stumped. There is no rhyme or reason as to which bags are made where.

Yep! Chanels are made from either France or Italy. Check the Reference Library on some more infos.

My Luxe flap and bowler are both made in France, as well as my Cambon bowler. All the rest of my Chanel bags are made in Italy.

Hey all. There are a few Chanel pieces that have caught my eye. Do you know where thy are made? I usually don't buy purses made in China.

Chanel purses are only ever made in Italy or France.
Fake Chanels are made in China, but they stamp it as made in "France" or "Italy". (lies) |
