Would an SA at a Chanel boutique give me a free Chanel box?

Stupid question, but I think everything at a Chanel boutique is out of my price range. Do certain boutiques carry cosmetics too? So that way, I can at least purchase a small item and then, perhaps, ask for a shopping bag and Chanel box that is usually intended to store a small purse.

The reason I'm asking is because I've been collecting Chanel nail polish and I'd really love a Chanel box to store them in. Silly, I know...but I those nail polishes!! They're the only Chanel item that I can afford for now because I'm still a poor college student.

Today, I just received this really cute small gift box from Chanel that contains the new colors, Gold Fiction and Melrose! I can't wait until I get a mani with those colors; it'll be so hot!

Isn't the ribbon so cute! Haha...

Yes, I finally have them!

I don't think any boutique would just give you an empty box. Try looking for some on eBay. Sometimes people sell boxes there.

No boxes are usually paired with bags. eBay will be your best bet.

I tried eBay, but I couldn't find anyone that would just sell a box.

Louis Vuitton has given me free boxes before, but that's probably because I have an account there.

keep checking. I see boxes from different high end labels every now and again.

i agree ive seen boxes on eBay even the camelia ribbons they give on their purchases!!, thats cool they sent you the nail polishes in that lil box.

i think its a good idea of yours, but maybe if you are a frequent visitor of some store and they like recognize you already, and know you as a client even if you dont buy major stuff, maybe they can give you a bigger box, not the one that holds a purse but at least bigger ones, or idk im just suggesting.
Good Luck!!

** you are right i searched eBay theres none yet, but i found the ribbons, but im positve check ebay very frequent and you will find it, ive seen alot of them.

I've definitely seen some Chanel boxes on eBay, as well as Chanel hangers, and even Chanel ribbon. Just keep checking.

I tried to google for you, nothing came up, Sorry. Do you have a department store near you that sells Chanel maybe they might be more willing than the boutiques. Good luck. Love the polish!

I bought a Chanel Chance perfume set around Christmastime and it came with the cutest Chanel box! So if you wear Chanel perfume you could splurge and get the set and then you get a box out of it too :)

Hi TresChic35, I remember asking an ebayer before on her prices - she had listed some paperbags of various sizes and bags' boxes too.. currently I checked and there are no listings, but if u are real keen, u can just do an eBay search for the seller via the ebay ID - "jok5916"

HTH, good luck and let us noe if u manage to get any!

Definitely try eBay, because I highly doubt that they would give you a large box for free (unless you purchase a non-makeup item from a potentially sympathetic SA, who might consider it if you explained to her your story). However, I think the chances would be very slim. I've gotten a free box from LV for a bag that I bought on eLux, but I think that was only because I've purchased bags from them before and the SA recognized me.

I don't think they would just give you a box.

I picked up my Flap from repair yesterday (Madison Ave store in NYC) and it no longer had the dustbag that I left the bag in (they asked me to leave the dustbag when I was dropping the bag off two months ago). I asked for one and they gave me one so small that 1/3 of the bag was sticking out. I asked for a bigger one and it was 2x bigger than the first one. It was clear that they didn't want to give a dustbag away though. I didn't even bother asking for a box because I knew that the answer would be no.

eBay is your best bet. I've seen some Chanel boxes on there before but they were quite expensive.
