Funny thing is that when I posted a picture of Claudia Schiffer with this tote months ago, nobody seemed to notice it. Not even when the first look books came out. Everyone else was concentrating on the colors of the reissues, In & Out flaps, lambskin Jumbo's etc.

A fellow tPFer PMed me about this tote saying we were lucky no one else was showing any interest in this tote at that point. And look how crazy everyone is getting now!

Yes, I saw the XL in the book on Monday. It is considered a laptop case, I think, and it has the padded shoulder strap, but otherwise looks the same. I need to see it IRL, but my boutique isn't getting the grey in any size, so I'm sad. I really love the vintage distressed grey. I saw the reissue in the distressed grey and melted.

has anyone seen this black HW in person? does it really pop or does it make the bag look dull? it looks so yummy in the picture but maybe the flash is making it pop more than IRL?

I saw it IRL and think the black hardware is stunning with the MB. The black hw was what drew me to the purse. Even my hard to please DH loved it and he is usually hard to please. IMO the black hw looks better than the silver one on the MB reissue.

That MB reissue with SH is soooo . Does the 227 retail for $2850?

I saw this metallic black 2.55 reissue with shiny black h/w at printemps, Paris. Frankly speaking, the bag looks really dull from every corner. Its just my opinion though. However, it may look good with other contrasting metallic colors like grey and pink

ooh i got all excited by anonymous' post and now my excitement's down a notch . hmm i guess i'll have to wait till it hits a store near me...i can imagine the black hw would look really great with a lighter metallic color bag.

This scares me, if this model is only 5 feet tall and the reissue tote doesnt have much of a drop lenth. What will it look like on a taller bigger person. Be up my nose?

Personally, I really really like the mettallic black reissue with the black hardware. I just saw it in the store today, and I think the 227 makes the perfect everyday black bag for me. The black hardware makes it edgy and versatile. I love it!
