Default Advise needed from Chanel owners
Hi Ladies,

After long contemplating I v finally decided to just follow my heart and hopefully be a prowd owner of my first Chanel by the end of this year ! I v always been a cross body bag kind of girl and am used to drag along a lot of stuff with me, like sunnies, wallets, phone and acc bag etc...So I guess jumbo would be the perfect bag for me. Only problem is I m not that tall, only 5'2. Would the jumbo be too big for me???
I v seen many beautifull modelling pics, but it s hard for me to guess the length of you all. As I can see there are a lot of Jumbo owners in here...Could you pls help me ? All comments are more than welcome, even suggestions of other bags I should take into consideration....TIA!

5'2 is not too small for the jumbo :) I'm 5'3 and the jumbo looks good :) MY SA told me there will be a price increase DEC 1st and I trust him whole heartedly so I would get it sooner rather than later if I were you. :)

Definitely visit a boutique to try on the different sizes. I think the jumbo is a great everyday bag. I'm petite & don't carry a lot, but I still prefer the jumbo the most. My 1st Chanel was the m/l but like most tPers, I have had to switch it up to the jumbo. It really depends on how you feel when you carry the bag (think Nicole Richie & Victoria Beckham who are petites with the XL jumbo). So go ahead & rock that jumbo!

Petite girls and the Jumbo flap go together fantastically! I'm 5'1" and love my Jumbo. Whether or not the Jumbo is a good match for you is really based off your needs versus the size of the bag. If you want an everyday bag that has plenty of room for your stuff then the Jumbo is for you, if don't carry that much stuff on a daily basis or you want a bag more for evenings then I suggest going for a medium/ large flap. Good Luck with your decision.

I like the M/L one. The jumbo is too big for me since I am 5'2 and 92 pounds

Hmm I've been weighing Jumbo vs. Medium/Large too! I'm 5'2 too, and never even considered the Jumbo until recently (when I saw that the Cruise blue only comes in Jumbo for caviar!) as I thought I wouldn't be able to rock the Jumbo with my height, and dress style (veryverygirly). I've always thought the Medium/Large was a little more classic looking, and had a very very pleasant surprise when I was in the boutique over the weekend! The Jumbo does not look overpowering on more petite girls, and has a kind of throwaway, modern elegance that I really liked. It's really very wearable. The Medium/Large is gorgeous too, it looks more dainty because of the size, but it's able to hold a lot less than the Jumbo. Perhaps you could go check both out in the boutique/store to see which suits you better?

Like *So.Cal*girl my first flap was a medium and I use it maybe once a year. Lol--I can't get much more than my wallet in it. So I haven't ever considered another medium. I am taller than you, but I have seen pictures of many girls your height carrying the jumbo beautifully.

And I think *So.Cal*girl's point about Nicole Riche and Victoria Beckham is a good one. I've seen pictures of Nicole with a maxi size and she looks great!!

OP, don't fret! The Jumbo is fine on girls 5' and above. I'm only 5'3", 95lbs, and my Jumbo doesn't look overwhelming on me. I'm sure if you got a Jumbo, it would look fabulous on you! And yes..Jumbos fit soo much stuff in them. All at once, I can fit: keys, wallet, phone, make-up bag, sunglasses with case.

P.S: what color are you going to get? And what texture? And what hardware? ^_^
