At the end it comes down to where you are based and what currency..VAT is a bonus, a sales discount that Chanel classic flaps never have!

^^ Dubai used to be the place to shop, once upon a time but for the past 5 years or so expats (me included) started to flock the city and make a living. All of a sudden prices here started to be like in Europe..the city started charging 1 to 1 or twice or triple as to Europe price and this even include food! Example, a kilo of Parmesan cheese in Italy cost 10 euro, in Dubai it is DHS 112 (euro 1 = DHS 5.6) ! At that price, I'll eat my pasta without parmesan
or I buy my cheese in bulk when in Rome.. Oh, well..what do we say..people get greedy!I think people still come to Dubai to see the place..Dubai is out of the cliche Middle eatern country with camels and desert only..it has everything bigger, better, taller.. trully a paradise in the middle of sand pit.. it is really unexpected especially for tourist. |
