god this just brings back some awful memories. i am so thankful for this bored or i probably would have been an unwitting victim of a scammer on eBay.

on a slight tangent, i've also been (peculiarly) the victim of scathing remarks from the eBay boards. this forum as well as my name was smeared. it was all a bit crazy. i had the bag authenticated here by so many people (and consequently by Chanel in Ausrtralia) and they just refused to believe all the information i was giving them and flat out called me a liar

i was absolutely SHOCKED at the treatment i got (they started out helping me, and when i posted to say "good news it's been authenticated", they all tore me down and called me sad and desperate )

i just left it alone since it got way too eerie for me. i figured they had their own personal agendas (as in there couldn't possibly be any room for error on their part otherwise it threatens their status as an 'authenticator'). this was a few years ago so i hope it's different now.

i value our members here because they do their research and use common sense. There are no egos as in, "i am always right". I find more often than not each bag is treated on a case-by-case basis. Mon, Michele, Beautylicious etc. are absolutely invaluable and I could not thank them enough.

Thanks for all your comments, girls!

I think it's important to keep this thread alive or maybe make it a sticky, as Michele suggested.

Wow, you all do us such an amazing service on this board. It's very, very much appreciated!

I noticed she doesn't have any listings up now. I wonder if that's because of this post?

I remember that. They were so cruel to you. Over a zipper!

That's very interesting.

It is, isn't it? How could she have what looks like nearly half of her buyers no longer a registered users after she has sold them something. Some of these people had tons of feedback. I can't figure it out??

Something is not right there. I checked my feedback (like 74 or something) and out of those only 5 are no longer registered users.

eBay is quite a dangerous place to deal with sometimes, especially if you're not aware of the item's authenticity. some sellers can be very nasty people too! i've been almost scammed a couple of times recently - one with the prada patent black clutch (which i asked for authenticity verification but received no replies and that was before i was about to send the payment, omg!) and the rock and chain flap at BIN which was a good deal but something inside me told me to hang on and get more pics from the seller whom i had asked but received no replies from. i was THIS close to clicking on BIN, phew! luckily i did not!

this might go a little OT - i have had a very nasty experience with a eBay seller recently. i bought a BNWT dress from her and received it in a defect condition (stitches on one of the straps were coming off) and she insisted she sent it in perfect condition and even pulled on the straps before she sent it out. i suspected that the pull might have damaged the straps otherwise there had to be some explanation for the defect. the stitches couldn't have possibly removed by itself, right? so instead of recognising that it was a defect, she indirectly shifted the focus of the defect, or rather, blame, by implying that it could've been 'unpicked' (by who? obviously implying on me? who would go to the trouble/extent by doing so and causing more trouble for oneself? very smart huh?) and would be easily fixed quickly (point is it was BNWT, so why do i have to fix something that i expect to be perfect as she said?). the thing is, as a buyer, you expect your item to arrive 'AS described' or in a 'brand new' condition as stated. instead of getting an apology, the comments left in her messages were just so negative that i didn't bother leaving her any feedback, and she's a seller who cares more about her 100% 'stellar' feedback than anything else. ever since this experience, i've been terribly upset, disappointed and cautious with whom i'm dealing with!

btw thanks Nat for posting this! it's really informative and a good thing to let everyone here know!

beauty thanks for posting I did see her and thought it was very suspicious on the amount of the same high end chanel bags that she was selling. I did not want to post being fairly new here. I was not even sure if she was a member here. did you report her to eBay?
