Should I purchase a Chanel bag in Europe or US?

I'm studying abroad in Madrid, Spain for the summer. I will also be traveling to Paris, France later in the summer. I want to get either one of those cute Chanel Wallet on Chain ($1450?) or a Medium Classic Flap ($1595). Does anyone know if it would be cheaper for me to purchase either of the purses in Europe compared to buying them in the US? I know with the weak dollar, the conversion rates should be considered. And although I know the difference in prices b/t US and Europe prices may not be much, I'm a student and I need to stretch my money as much as I can. (And since this is the case, I know I'm crazy for even thinking of purchasing a Chanel bag in the first place.)

But does anyone have experience with purchasing bags in Europe? Particularly, Chanel? How should I go? Wait until I get back to the US and buy a Chanel bag in Las Vegas, NV or Hawaii (where the tax is less than in CA or NY)? Or purchase one in Paris or Madrid?

Correction: I believe the Medium Classic Flap is $2050 now? I was looking at the old price.

lol the medium class is AT LEAST $2350 if not more now... not sure about Europe's prices, but I chose to get mine at the Heathrow airport instead of paying for US sales tax
