How long has it been? I'd only start to worry if it's over 3 months. And even then, you should just contact the refund company. I forget which one Chanel use but it's stated at the form and you can check their site and such.

At Chanel, the forms would have printed infos entered by the cashier handling the purchase. Can't your friend just handle the tax paper for you?

Hi Jasmine! Unfortunately my friend can't handle the tax papers on my behalf cos she's non-French, but she is not leaving the country anytime soon, while the bag needs to pass over a border for VAT to be claimed. The VAT needs to be claimed by me when I leave the country, so I wanted the tax papers to be in my name. I also wanted to save her the hassle of filling in the paperwork.

beware of getting cash from lafayette or printemps. i got tax refund by cash at lafayette and printemps last month and realised that they charged my credit card back+ service fee!!! i did get customs stamp and sent the form back by mail... is that anything i can do with this?>

I have good news! I bought my Chanel last month in Paris and got my VAT refund back on my credit card yesterday. 1 month later! WUHOO!!!!

Hi!

will both copies be stamped. Do we have to submit the purchasing invoices to the form? because like LV, they are able to honour exchange if the purchase is within a period of time. If i submit the invoice, then i wont have any with me? Or i can request for additional Invoice print out etc. Thanks
