I have both Saks normal account and MPA. So is it really 12 months? My SA told me only 6 months? Which Saks doing the 12 months?

lol--it is all so confusing, BUT, NM has actually had both...

1) The "no, no" which is what you are describing.
2) But they also have a 6 month plan that 1/6 is due each month and no interest accrues if the 1/6 is paid timely and the balance is paid in full at the end of the 6 months.

I have used both, but #2 mostly in the Precious Jewels department. It is important to know which one is being offered!

I think all Saks are doing it. Here is the email my SA sent me. It's similar to the emails posted below..

Hope all is well with you!! Just FYI, here at Saks we are offering no interest no payment for an entire year on a purchase of $2000 or more!! It will go on your MPA acct and the rest is history!! Last year when I bought DH his J12, I bought it from Saks and got a discount from Damian and put the watch on the MPA acct, which was 6 months same as cash. I had to go to the store and open the MPA account at the customer service dept. No big hassle. As long as the balance is paid in full before the ending date, no interest is paid BUT should you miss that day, you get hit with the interest which would have accrued during the 6 months same as cash.

SO BE SURE TO PAY OFF THE BALANCE ON TIME. I love the same as cash feature at any retailer. Just don't go overboard or miss the pay off date and get slammed w/the interest.

yes, you can use the GC even w/LV purchase :)

I have to go to the store to open the MPA account ( I just went to the jewelry department, and they gave me a form, I fill it up, they call up the store.. and less than 5 mins.. I am done!)..

I plan to do automatic payment towards my MPA account (either monthly or quarterly ). to make sure I won't miss the deadline.

Eventhou my GC won't be that much heheh.. but something is better than nothing.. especially with the tax saving and possible price increase coming up!! I am all happy!!

Does anyone have a name of a reliable sales associate in the NY area at Saks? I normally deal with Karen at Neimans at Short Hills but this promotion at Saks is too good to be true.

I don't have any SA from NY Saks, but my SA is in Troy Michigan and she's doing the same promotion. You will save $$ from the tax--just a thought, since you live in NJ. Let me know if you need her details.
