I couldn't agree more. That's why I'm sitting this one out.

Ever since NM's doing the GC (or the 6 month no interest/payment), I have found myself buying more from NM. So I guess in a way, Saks is starting to level the playing field with NM to attract more customers. They even started a fashion fix to respond NM's midday dash, which I must say the first one was a success. But unless they're extending their EGCs to Chanel, LV, and etc, I'm not buying high end items from them.

Thanks
yes it does.

I went to sak in Lenox mall of GA yesterday, the sale associate told me that.

Chanel is def. included...I just hae my SA rang up a classic flap for me since their pre-sale started today....If you already have a MPA from last year then you wouldnt have to apply for another one again, you can use the same one as long as your account is in good standing...and yes it is indeed 12 month interest free and payment free... Thanks Classic Chic for the info :)))

Hurt the credit score? Probably
Is it worth it to go through these just for a bag? NO
If there's extra money to spend to afford one then go ahead.
Otherwise debt for a bag is a no...
No doubt though, for those who don't have cash on hand, this offer is very tempting haha...
Very true but with a price increase looming this is great for most girls here to buy now. I think as long as you definitely don't accrue interest and pay off asap it's ok

I think I like NM's deal better. ECG and double point or whatever points would be incentive for me. I used ECG to get my earrings and shoes. I'm more for the incentive because I don't like to carry debt

Just be careful ladies. Mark your calender so you pay off before the 12 month period is over or watch out Finance Charge and Interest! Happy Shopping!

This is a great deal. I get 12% back on the purchase in gift cards, no tax (huge savings in and of itself) and I am getting interest-free money to buy the bag for a year! So my credit score gets dinged a couple of points...nbd. I'll just be sure to pay it off!

I always jump on Triple point w/MPA events, my SA can order from out of state to save me tax (she split the commission w/other people, but it's better half than nothing), get points and NO interest for 12 month is music to my ear For a 3k Chanel, my savings will be 243.75(would've paid tax)+540(at Diamond level, when points convert to GC)=783.75 It's a huge savings for me!Even NM usually have the best color stock, I do try to stay w/Saks as much as possible b/c the tax advantage. Plus I like a big GC at the begining of year(when I'm usually broke from holiday shopping lol), instead of many smaller GC that's hard for me to save up on big purchase.

Yep.. the tax saving can be a lot and can add up!!

BTW... do they have any restriction of the GC? department restricted? can I use it in other designer bag like LV, GUcci, Chanel or etc?
