I just talked to my sales, she said the chanel bag is not included in the Free one year interest. It's only for Major account purchase like jewelry.

Can someone confirm whether Chanel is included?

^^ hmm, that's strange. The SaksFirst CS rep told me Chanel is included, as did my SA. Hopefully someone else can chime in!

My sales told me only for Major purchase account. And chanel is in the Major purchase account. She told me if chanel is included in the Free interest event, all the bags will be flew out of shelves alreay. I have been working with her for more than 2 years. So confused.

Normally the 6mth no interest is only for jewelry/fur on the MPA account. But this special promotion that starts on the 5th is for anything in the store (exclusion such as gift cards,etc) including Chanel! My SA didn't know this either, until I called SaksFirst and confirmed

My SA is in Saks New Orleans. She said she just received the cruise caviar jumbo red and navy today. She only has 1 unit of each since it is a smaller store.

Neiman Marcus has done 0% interest quite a few times now and Chanel is always included. I'm not sure why it would be different for Saks?

wow 1 year is a long time. I just secured a bag w/ NM for the gift card/6 mo no interest plan.. ahhh should i get another bag? It could be a good time since price increases most likely will happen end of 2010... hmm what to do :)

Free interest means no finance charge at all right?

You are going to carry the balance until it is paid in full. There will be no finance charge and no late payment penalty unless it is paid after the 6 month or 1 year anniversary of the purchase. Will it hurt your credit history? It will probably drive down your credit score.

also there is probably a minimum payment each month..

^^ not to threadjack, but wouldn't making equal monthly payments prevent any effect on your credit score? I have never done this sort of deal before but I personally don't want to wait until the year is up to pay the full balance!

As long as you don't make a LATE payment, you are fine.

For your benefit, pay off the balance before the 1 year is over and you will pay no interest!
