i think ebayers can get in trouble for contacting bidders if the bidders report them...
but i'm quite sure they'll be grateful more than anything... |

I wonder if you can report it to Ebay? Seems to me if it is over a certain amount, Ebay would want the buyer to be aware. I think if the bidder happens to be related to the seller (which could be the case if the seller is not ethical) then the seller would find out and then I think there could be an issue. Maybe purseblog should place ad's on Ebay to let Ebayers know about them!

It's called auction interference and you can get in trouble for it if the person you contact reports you to eBay.

That's too bad. Makes sense though - people could email people false information as well to try to stop them from buying certain people. Lisa

yes, please DO NOT contact Bidders, you can be suspended from eBay for doing so, DO NOT do it!

I want to point something out that you may not have thought of... In the past, I sold all my silver Tiffany pieces (wasn't wearing them) on eBay and had a lot of competition with all the fake Tiffany on there. I realized that some people want to buy fakes... it's a bit cheaper (although it should be dirt cheap, it's not) and some people want the 'look' and not the huge expense. Not everyone wants the real thing. I know we all disagree with that philosophy, here on this forum, but we're obsessed and not everyone is as nuts as we are. I'm not endorsing fakes... it's ugly, illegal and I would have made a lot more money selling my real Tiffany, if the fakes were not allowed on eBay... but there IS a chance the bidders know what they are bidding on. |

perhaps some do know it is a fake. but what really gets me is that ebay allows even the worst fakes to say "authentic" - authentic what - fake? whatever happened to vero taking down the listing. i get so angry when i see a fake (used) going for over $500 and the buyer thinks they are getting the real thing. how do these sellers sleep at night knowing they have scammed another one?

Two auctions with the same photos, same serial number (only one with auth card photo), VERY different prices. Terms and conditions have the same name, but eBay user names are different:

Fakers are everywhere...not only in Asian countries. Didn't some girls in this forum (from US) mentioned abt seeing fake bags too in their own country. Having said that ..in HK shopping districts..u see lot of expatriates/tourists from US/UK buying fakes stuff too. Now u see who are the buyer..European as well as Americans Demand & supply theory..any1?? In short, dun patronize these "fakers" |

I've seen these pictures before. I think they are stolen from a PFer's auction. Please beware. |
