I agree that the bag looks fake. I have attached an ebay auction with an authentic bowler under the thread were we post real Chanel listings. You can see the difference in the bags.

I recognize the backdrop of the picture - same as this one, only with a different dustbag that gave it away as a fake. Maybe the seller switched username?

By the way, there was an article in Harper's Bazaar Sep 2006 about Karl chuckling about Marc Jabocs expressing his wishes to run Chanel one day.

IMHO, I think it may be better to merge this sticky with "authenticate this". I see increasing similarities.

After looking at the first auction again. It appears that it is the LARGE gold bowler, and not the medium. On the medium bowlers there are no cell phone pockets, and the bottom does not have feet. In fact on the medium bowlers the embedded chain detail goes all the away around the bottom of the bag.

So I've made a mistake. The first bag appears to be authentic if it's the large bowler. The large bowler does have a cell phone pocket.

Fake . Already has 25 bids on it . The lining is all wrong . And there is no way you could squeeze that bag into THAT box !

The seller also mentions that this bag is sold out at all the FENDI stores . I guess it would be , considering it's Chanel ( well , not really ! ) .

Ugh ! Look at that back pocket ! It's a perfect square . Nonetheless , I bet this one goes for some bucks .
