No, I don't see My expertise is not solid enough, I've been so surprised when Mon and the girls have pronounced something good when I thought it was fake.

So I only go by what I'm CERTAIN of... like I said, "glaring" clues.

Thanks for trying to enlighten me!

This one is more obvious. See the card http://cgi.ebay.com.hk/ws/eBayISAPI....3A1%7C294%3A50

This bag has a dangly tag - that's a no-no, isn't it? Please advise.

this has fake authenticity card so the bag is most likely to be fake

I've reported this bag several days ago, then I phoned eBay about it - it is still there with only one day to go and bidding at nearly £400.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=160336135558

Did I tell you in this thread (I explained it in Authenticate This) that eBay telephone staff cannot see photos hosted by, for example, Photobucket etc that are placed in the item description. They can only see the photos hosted by eBay. (They told me their internet was restricted in some way.) Therefore if you try to "show" them fake cards or holograms they can't see them. I wonder how many scammers know this and that's why they include the crucial photos via outside hosts.

It definitely is, Lotus Flower (that's my name for you :) ), see it's a 10218184 number with no serifs - that's enough without any other evidence. scylla...

Ahh. :) I also notice the serial number now.

Oh no! Somebody has bought it a few hours ago! I remember I had reported it already?

Shame :( You did your best. I could not report it because the page did not display English.

Remember the LAX fake from a few days ago? I despaired but it was removed at the last minute :)

There are a lot of suspect bags in the "Chanel shoulder bags" on my search alerts today, but it would involve me asking for pictures to be certain and I'm too, too tired. It's so discouraging to see them get away with it, but I must "get a life".

As reported in the Authenticate this forum.

Both items are fraudulent:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Black-Chanel-2-55-Classic-Flap-Bag-Purse-Receipt_W0QQitemZ200344902568QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWo men_s_Bags?hash=item2ea57c9ba8&_trksid=p3286.c0.m1 4&_trkparms=72%3A1685|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240% 3A 1318|301%3A0|293%3A2|294%3A50

AND

Though they are two separate listings, it is one seller who has stolen photos from other sellers, one of which is jenny_pennys.

When confronted the seller claims that the previous listings with the same photos also belonged to her, and is now trying to resell due to non-paying bidders. So I guess she is claiming that she is jenny_pennys and has at least 4 ebay accounts?

The seller admitted that both listings belonged to her, and agreed to sell both bags to me (also asked for westernunion). When I asked for additional pictures she refused saying she was too busy to take any photos. The only photos she could send were of the holograms and authenticity cards - one of which was 11267555, which if you do a search has a lot of history on this forum as well! The other is 1480226 - obviously vintage!

She was also adamant about me paying before she ended the listing as it would take "2-3 days to complete" after she emailed ebay to end it.

Please report it as fraudulent, I have done so but they have not been removed yet. I would really like it to be removed soon as I can imagine many innocent people will become victims of this scam.

Me too! What a shame! I can just report and have no more time to follow up. I should have reported via US eBay directly. It might have shortened the time eBay can act on it.

I noticed that if I delete ".hk" in the link, the webpage will be back to US eBay. That way I can report to US eBay direct but then I have to login again. I should not have been lazy about this :(

I got a reply via email messaging from "Janette" - it was empty. In the listing they say they will send auth card and holo pics within half an hour

I admire your detective skills, Jem. I can't find the original pics, I expect they are too 'old' to be on eBay still.

What did you put in the remarks when you reported? One can only report one's own pics having been stolen.

Lotus Flower, I hoped you might get your teeth into Jadoret's scammers
