Default Deciding whether to get an ultimate soft..
i decided not to get this before as i thought i wanted something bigger and more spacious to use daily - but somehow i keep coming back to this style

does chanel still have this style? i haven't found it in either SG or london. i haev seen a couple on ebay but would much rather buy a new one, esp since it's lambskin and i don't want to be "surprised" bymarks or scratches on the bag that don't show up in pictures.

also, for those who have this bag, does it hold up well for daily use? it's lambskin, so i'm a little concerned. is the medium size (about 12 inches wide) spacious as well?

thanks!!

I saw an ultimate soft medium back in the Hawaii Chanel Boutique at the Ala Moana Shopping Center. It was black. I thought it was a pretty bag but I didn't like the fact that the leather was so soft so it seemed likely to pick up scratches. So, I don't think it's a good everyday bag, even though it has a casual look which seems like it should be an everyday bag.

I have the Ultimate Soft and love it! I wore it out probably 2 months straight, and although super soft to the touch, it hasn't picked up any scratches on the lambskin. If anything, the metal CC charm has a couple of small dings. But then again, I take care of all bags. I highly recommend it! It's a great hobo bag.

I would recommend this bag! I have it and think it is a great everyday bag. I also carry my bags for a month or so at a time and it actually is quite durable. I am careful with my bag, and I don't have any problems with scratches. I bought my bag in February 2009, so there may still be a few floating around! Good luck

I have the Sombrero style Ultimate Soft in white no less. I use it as an everyday bag in the summer time and have had no issues with stratches. It is a great bag that holds a lot and is quite stylish. Lambskin is much more durable than people think. I use protectant on it as well which probably helps too. As long as you don't plan on throwing the bag around or letting it sit on the floor, you'll be fine.
