hmm would they still increasing the price again? Our dollar is now parity with the US dollars? and we're paying MUCH more than the states already?

Yeah I'm wondering if they are going to either lower the retail price in Cdn$ or not to have a price increase...Let's hope for it

I am so confused, today when I went to Chanel, the SA told me that the GST is $1825 or $1875, which is less than the Medallion tote which is $1950...did she tell me the wrong price or something?! The GST I was looking at was beige and had gold hardware. Someone help please??

shopaholiccat: so the GST with silver hardware (even in black) is $2050...? Is that what you meant? SO the Gst with gold hardware (in black also) is $1875?

^ wow, that's really confusing. i hope she meant the lesser because that would be, after the 14% tax (for Ontario) it would still be cheaper than paying for customs from the US

the GST with gold hardware is 1825 CAD... however the SA believes that it was a mistake that the system hasn't adjusted the price yet.
the silver hardware version is 2025 CAD.

Ooohh okay thanks for clearing that up. So chances are if I wanted a black GST with silver HW I'd have to pay the $2025 price pretty much no matter what. Only if I'm lucky I only have to pay $1825 for the gold?

Grrr I wish the price wouldn't increase!!! If it increases to $2300 that is just RIDICULOUS!

i've asked an SA at the Chanel Boutique, and 2 SA's at the Chanel @ Holt's and none of them have heard of the increase...
let's keep our fingers crossed :)

I hope it doesn't! But I read somewhere that the GST will go from 1895 to 2125 US...so I'm guessing they will increase prices in Canada, just that it won't be that much so the prices are pretty close. Just like LV, one of my bags got a $10 CAD increase while it got a $60 US increase.

I wouldn't mind a ~5% increase, which would bring the GST in Canada from $2050 to approx $2150

This is sooo CONFUSING!! asked an SA at Holt in calgary and basically she said there's never been a GST with silver hardware in Canada!! so i'm like ... huh? and she said theres no way it could have been 2050 either because they cant price up something the same with different price or something like that? but i know you girls have shopped in Ontario and got ones! Chanel is confusing i tell ya!

They had one in the silver hardware during PSN but it was sold to a lady while I was there. My SA said she could get me one if I wanted it...I don't see the GH that much in Canada, except on the beige ones. Are you going to join the Chanel obsession soon Karman?

Is your SA...Angela?? She was the one helping Vista & I out on Thursday and she was a sweetheart!

I was thinking of getting either my first Chanel, or the MJ Stam during PSN.
Do you think they'd be able to order one (black GST silver HW) in for PSN for me (like LV does for their customers)?
PSN is confirmed to be in November.
