^. I have a small classic flap and it's awesome. (See pic in my av). I bought it at the flagship store on bloor. I think it went up to $2750 after the price increase in May.

Good luck buying your Chanel!

- the lamb pieces are slightly pricier, don't know exact numbers though
for PSN this wed, if you spend $750, get $50 gift card, if 1250, get 100 GC, if 2250, get 200 GC (not the greatest, but better than nothing, i guess)
they seemed to have lots of the classics in black with either gold or silver HW.
good luck!
^ Thanks to the both of you!!! Thanks ks1234 I really appreciate that fact that you're usually a lurker but posted to help me out! :) That really helps! I can't belive there is only $200 difference between small and large classic flaps! Decisions decisions! Will go to HR tomorrow to try them. I hope the SA's are nice and allow me to hold till PSN night. I might want to get some jewellry as well (earrings and necklace). The whole Chanel forum is so enabling! I went from wanting to buy an LV wallet to wanting to buy Chanel purses and jewellry...WOW!

SweetxJenn: They'll totally let you hold for PSN. Plus, if Carol, the manager, is around, rumour has it you may be able to talk her into giving you the PSN deal a little early.... The SAs were whispering about it when I put my Chanel purchases aside for PSN. (I decided against even asking since the purses are SUPPOSED to be birthday presents for myself!) I put the purses aside almost 2 weeks early, and they had no problem with it at all!!

I'm pretty sure some of you have bought Chanels in other countries and bought them back to Canada. I was wondering what happened when at the Canadian airport? Did you declare the full values of your items?

I'm going to Paris in Sept and plan on buying a PST there so want to know if they will tax me like crazy when I get back. I plan on declaring my bag...should I declare the full value or say it was like $750? (Since that's my exemption amount)??? Any ideas or stories?

^ not sure how beat it'll look if it is caviar leather.

on the other hand stuff the pockets with tissues and knick knacks so that it looks like you had it for a while. you can also bring your small flap receipt and put it in the gst so it looks like you bought it from toronto? LOL now that is so bad!!!

I used to bring 2 more LV bags and were kept in the dustbag when I travelled and nothing happened when I came back to Canada.

Definitely mail the receipt home. I forgot a few receipts in my luggage coming home to Canada last weekend, and since I didn't declare my larger purchases I got charged 40% customs fee.

OUCH 40%?!?!?! :(

Were there any Chanels that you didn't declare? That definitely adds up.

I had a Timeless clutch in Caviar, a Burberry trench that I didn't declare. I declared my smaller items, but figured I could get away. For future, I'm definitely mailing my receipts, or declaring! 40% is such a steep price to pay, for my own error.

Do you think it would have been a good idea to underdeclare? Or just not declare at all? (If you HAD mailed the receipts to yourself, would you have said that the stuff was already yours from Canada?)
