You don't have to use your Holt's AMEX for PSN. They offer gift cards for every X amount you purchase. I think it starts at $50 for $750, $75 for $1000, $100 for $1250, but don't quote me on the exact dollar amount. I just know there's a sliding scale on it, and it's something like that. So it's almost like getting a discount... You just have to spend your "discount" there too (which I can easily do). LOL

Thanks for all the replies! I've been in the Chanel at Holts once and it was a black SA (not trying to be racist, but I forgot her name ) who was helping me. I'm not sure if it was Carol or not but she was pretty nice, considering that I didn't look like I was able to afford a Chanel at my age.

P.S. Speaking of Holts, Toronto's PSN is scheduled for August 12th!!!
Does anyone know how much I can get if I purchase the medium caviar classic flap or the jumbo in caviar?

I'm trying to wait a year before I get my Chanel but who doesn't like a discount? And I'm not sure when the next price increase will be!

Having just read another thread stating that in the US (Saks?) they get $50 for every $250 they spend, I'm not in any hurray to go to this.

Nene is the one with the accent isn't she? I agree, she's nice.

Technically, it's not a discount, it's more like the more you spend on the items you want, the nicer the gift will be.

True, but you can always sell the gift card. I find that gift cards make me spend more. The item isn't always exactly the amount of the gift card, and you'll want to spend all of it making you have to choose something more expensive.

Maybe some of you ladies can help me out...

1) Has anyone ordered anything form Nordstrom? If you don't mind, please share your experience...I am thinking about ordering a pair of Cambon flats...

2) For those of who have purchased a Chanel jacket before, do they provide complimentary alteration service, even on sale items? How long does it take to get back to you?

Thank you

I never thought of selling mine. How can you confirm the amount on the card to the buyer - there isn't usually anything specified, it's just electronic.

Also, I find I do carry around my gift cards and buy something small, the left over money is still there until you use it up on something else.

ilove6kies - I've ordered a paid of boots from them before. It turned out okay although I never received confirmation. I had to make the order over the phone and their system was down at the time. I had to call twice to get my order number and tracking information. Their system wasn't updated but I ended up receiving it within a week. I had to pay $40 usd shipping and $40 cad duties and taxes when it arrived. Hope this helps!

Jayne1 - What I've seen was by contacting the buyer to meet up at Holts and confirm it with a SA to verify the amount.

Thanks for your input hazel!!!

Few more questions:

1) How much were the boots?
2) What courier service did Nordstrom use?

Thanks!!!

The boots were $160. I wasn't too sure what courier service they used because my mom received them for me. I'm going to guess and say USPS and was just unlucky with customs because they used a big box. I shop from Revolve and they use USPS and was almost never charged customs/duties except for jeans because I assume its heavier than other clothing items. If it was UPS, they probably charged me at least $80.

Thanks Hazeltt!!!

I think I am just gonna pay extra $5 to have it gift-wrapped and pray that Canadian Customs would give me a break, lol!!!
