I believe this new policy started May 1. Also it is store credit or exchange, no more refunds.
I think they can sometimes make exceptions, but it has to be approved by Chanel HQ Canada. Major PITA!!

^^^ Unbelievably frustrating. We already have so few choices, why limit those that we have? I already often phone order to US boutiques. It's always less of a hassle, and on at least two occasions the price, with customs, has worked out to being less.

I once wanted a bag from the new (at that time) boutique in BC. They refused to ship it to me... I don't even care about that bag now, having found better ones.

I saved money and they lost a sale...

Has anyone gotten a call about the 09 Red Jumbo classic flap? I was told it would arrive in May and haven't heard anything...

i got a call last monday (may 18th) from holts toronto that my red jumbo has arrived (the dark red that is the same as cruise09)... i passed it on... the SA said there were 50 pple (might be exaggerrated?) after me on the list.. so i didn't post on the shopping thread....

I picked up a medium/large red caviar from the Toronto boutique on May 22nd. I was told that they had not received the jumbos yet but were expecting them shortly.

Wow - thanks for the responses. It's so weird that the Chanel boutique in Holt's would have gotten them before the store. I'm going to call my SA for an update today. I'm on the list at both stores (and just got a call from Holt's late in the day yesterday) but I would prefer to buy from my SA at the boutique.

FYI
sale in Toronto Bloor Store, only few accessories go on sale (30% off),
most of the clothes will go on sale and some seasonal bags (most of them are displayed in second floor within the clothing section) will go on sale(30% off)..
many shoes will go on sale too but not lots of sizes can chooose....

starts on June 4th (i forgot how long it's going to last, i left the invitation card at home, will snap a pic and post it later in the day)

selected RTW, shoes, accessories at 30% off (based on past experience, they should also have the previous seasons at 50% off)

btw, holts' Designer sale at 40% off started yesterday!! happy shopping everyone!!
