Jumbo flap in white perfo is 2470.

There's a very unique silver medium flap that's 2780...very cool texture. Can't describe. It's like that I would imagine a diamond mine would look like. Sort of like rocks but glittery. Perfect for evening.

I also saw denim bowler, black jumbo w/ gold hw, medium flap in black perf, some new vinyl bags, pink, light brown and black medallion totes.

whew (or yikes!) was just at Holt's today, and was looking at both the large and the jumbo classic with old chain. I asked about the price increase, and the SA mentioned it already increased by about $400! But checking this thread, I've realized, that she's quoting the previous increase...yikes, if the prices are truly increasing soon, I better get cracking now! Now if only the SAs could be a titch more informed....

Lots of questions. But thanks in advance!

1) Will I ever be able to find one like this in Canada:
- Classic (medium/Jumbo) / reissue (225/226/227) with silver hardware
- Colour flap (not black, white & beige), preference: blue, grey
- How much if any?

2) Can anyone tell me the difference between classic flap & the East-West flap?

3) Will Chanel stores in Canada ship to NS? Any additional cost? Will they charge GST only?

4) If I end up buying in the Toronto store, do I have to pay the PST as well?

5) With current exchange rate (~US$0.95), will it be better to buy a flap bag in the U.S. or even from HK?

6) Hi meow730, did you buy via phone from US & had it shipped to Canada? Is that you paid the duty + taxes upon you receive the package? BTW, I read the other thread. CHANELboy mentioned, "We ship to Canada. It is a $40 shipping fee." Not sure if "We" = Chanel @Nordstrom Mall of America?

Just bought Metalic Black reissue 227 yesterday. Paid $2850 plus 13% tax (in BC) the tax alone was almost $400

Country club tote - $2150

Classic flap in new silver chain, lamb leather, jumbo (similar to 227), $2450.

my SA told me that Chanel does not do cash refunds, only through store credits. is this true? not that I want to return my gorgeous baby.

Today's Cdn$ price on classic flaps:
Large $2475
Medium (10x6) $2200
Small (9x5.5) $2100

If anyone buy via phone & have it shipped to other provinces:
Chanel in Toronto - only 6%GST + shipping (depend on size)
HR in Montreal - both taxes + $15 shipping to NS

Anyone has more info.?

Now, I'm confused with the price. The price I posted above is from HR, but it seems it's more expensive than what I was told from Chanel Toronto.

i.e. Medium Cavier (9.5x6):
Chanel Toronto $2100
HR Toronto/Montreal $2200

As for taxes, Chanel Toronto only charge 6%GST, but HR charge both. As for shipping, HR Toronto won't charge at all..

$1675 sounds like the price of the east-west flap in caviar

$2200 is the price of the medium.

IIRC the mini flap (that can be worn messenger) is $1625?
